Just to clarify Tesla didn’t install what ever battery they have, I waited for remanufactured battery for 2 months and the estimate we agreed to was for that same battery. In case they didn’t find that battery Tesla should’ve told me about this new battery prior to installing it. The issue here...

I don’t call that a deal at all. It is lack of transparency. They should have consulted me with change of plans and new estimate which they failed to do.

Fundamental problem is that they didn’t make me aware of this change. The original estimate was for a refurbished battery that I approved.There was no mention of this other battery, which is double the cost almost. Tesla never told me about the change and I never approved the revised estimate...

It’s a P85 the battery installed is 90KWH and it shows 291 miles on my app.

Thank you for the insight and support. The best case scenario can also be that I pay 10% more for a win win outcome. I’m willing to work with them as long as the solution is reasonable.

The paperwork says that cost cannot exceed more than 10% of the estimate provided. If it exceeds they are required to get authorization for that right? In this case they did not.

Yes will do. It’s my bad luck I recently changed the drive unit as well. That costed me 10k now this battery.

I don’t think they have a refurbished one. They had me wait for this battery more than a month. Finally 2 days ago this battery arrived and was installed.

No I have not picked up my car yet. They said they are looking into it. According to their paperwork they invoice cannot exceed more than 10% of the estimate. In this case it’s almost double and I never authorized for this change of plan.
