Haha that sounds like fun. I found a way to disable the app too - if you start ab urgent charge and then immediately stop it with the Tesla app, the OVO app will give up all control until it senses the charge port has been disconnected.

I've let OVO know on their forum too - for me what I really want is the ability to just turn OVO Anytime off and back on again as and when it suits me.

Yep my findings are the same as the above. Have been experimenting today :) I think another useful improvement would be to be able to temporarily stop the OVO app from having control of the car, whenever it suits.

Thanks @AndyWarrington and @Pete UK - I'll make sure to set the car higher than my 70% app limit. Do you know this from deduction or is it documented anywhere? Still doesn't explain though why the app is (presumably) stopping charges during the daytime that I am initiating via the Tesla app...

Agreed. I don’t think it went off but I boarded at 80% and it was still at 80% the next morning after an 11 hour crossing

When we picked our Model Y up from the Trafford Centre, the car was happy to navigate us home with no SC stops, arriving with 7% remaining at Sheffield. That was too risky for us for our first ever EV drive, so we took a small detour via the Stockport SC and took on £7 worth!

Yes it was just an external one, and to be fair to them they’ve said don’t drive more than 100 miles (officially). I too would prefer a more permanent inside > out fix. I’ll see what my usual local garage (Hawleys in Sheffield) says tomorrow when they open.
