I got one to keep the plastic protected and have a less-slippery surface that is removable and easy to clean. It is satisfactory in that goal, but the fitment on the OEM version is mediocre. About as “necessary” as a cooler I personally think is cool but wouldn’t actually use.

I was able to set it up for a plate transfer when I ordered it and it lowered the registration fee. Note where I am in IL there are special EV plates which normally have a higher than normal registration fee, and regular plates cannot be transferred. It varies in each state.

So far, removing FSD has had no impact on EDD. Still sitting at 5/24-6/7 after 2 days. Definitely feeling good about the decision - the mental gymnastics of justifying FSD was a bit complex.
