    Show off your aftermarket wheels.

Got the 19" TSportline TSF in gloss black on the new 2024 MSLR. Absolutely hated the stock hubcaps, and didn't want to buy new 20" tires - as I like the ride quality on the 19s. I generally prefer a bit more contrast with my wheels, but the gloss black seemed to go much better with all of the...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Thanks - I'll take that! :) I noticed that the picture looks like it's off, but honestly - when looking at it in person, I can't see any misalignment. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :D

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Picked up my 2024 S today (DBM, 19s, blk interior, wheel). Ordered on 3/12, delivered 4/3. Have to say, in my novice opinion at least, the fit and finish looks pretty good. While I didn't generally pay attention to panel gaps until reading this thread, I didn't see the apparent typical...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Same here. Got notice today that pickup could be scheduled, and only had TWO choices for the entire month of April - Tuesday or Wednesday. Torrential rain is on the forecast here as well, so I feel your pain. I'll post pics of mine on Wednesday evening.

    Vent Visor install question

I did - and they've held up 'okay'....the tape didn't quite hold on one of them near the rear quarter window, so i had to apply some new 3M tape. No issues since then, so I'd still recommend them to anyone who's interested. Love the look!

What's your favorite model 3 interior?

Highland for me. The wood trim always looked out of place to me (which rules out both Original and Refresh) - got a wrap for mine immediately. Not sure I'll be a fan of losing the stalks, but the lack of wood makes it a winner in my book!

    Mid-Atlantic Superchargers (speculation, discussion)

I'm with you. FWIW, there's a destination charger (2 actually!) at the Denny's on Ridge Road - which is pretty close to the airport. There's also a supercharger coming soon to a new Royal Farms on Rt. 175 in Jessup, though that's probably farther south than ideal.

    Mid-Atlantic Superchargers (speculation, discussion)

Thanks! Happy to see that Pocomoke is at least on the list. And totally agree with you on Emporia. I've spent many a day on Rt 58 between Danville/South Boston, VA and Va Beach/Norfolk. The SC in SoBo is a decent one at a Sheetz, while the one in South Hill is horrible.

Pic of your Model 3.......RIGHT NOW! [model 3 pictures thread]

*Much* more quiet that the stock Continentals, so I'm hugely pleased on that front. So far, the efficiency has taken a small hit - but I think that's generally consistent with new tires in general, which are pretty sticky until that 'newness' wears off after the first few hundred miles. It's...

Pic of your Model 3.......RIGHT NOW! [model 3 pictures thread]

Thanks. They're practically identical to the TSportline wheels, and are currently about half the price. Word on the street is that they use the same manufacturer, so they're basically the same.

    Mid-Atlantic Superchargers (speculation, discussion)

I personally would like to see more on the Route 13 corridor between Salisbury, MD and Virginia Beach, VA. Once you get past Salisbury, there isn't much of anything until you hit Exmore, VA - which is a pretty long, barren stretch. On a side note, I don't think people necessarily want...

    Supercharger - Stevensville, MD

Thanks for the info. That's a good spot for a SC, as the ones in Graysonville (just down the road - an existing one at a Royal Farms and another one coming soon at the Wawa) are on the OTHER side of Route 50. As someone who drives frequently between Baltimore and Salisbury/points south, I...

Solved: Road Noise & Front Wind Noise

Been following this thread, and it's all interesting stuff. Thanks to all who have been posting and updating. Not sure if anyone else's experience is similar, but the majority of what I consider to be noise is primarily what sounds like wind leaking through/from the windows. Is there anything...

Supercharger - Annapolis, MD - Buschs Frontage Rd

Curious to see if this will be the SC version with the MagicDock (for non-Tesla vehicles). Have mixed feelings on that, but would feel better if they lengthened the cables so those vehicles wouldn't need to block other slots (due to non-standard charge port locations).

Battery charging in snow and very cold weather

^^This.^^ I used to charge mine to 90% daily, and watched the fully charged range drop significantly. Now, I charge only to 70%, and the BMS adjusted so that I got most of that range back. The BMS is far better able to determine range when it has data at lower SOCs. My recommendation would be...

Speed Limited to XX mph Message

I had a similar problem. Turned out to be a battery coolant leak, which the SC repaired under warranty. Good luck!

Vendor Teslogic — Mobile Instrument Cluster for Tesla Model 3/Y

Anyone run into this issue on install? Everything went well, except for one portion. When I ran the cable to the front of the passenger seat area, I wasn't able to connect it to the block under the seat. There appears to be some sort of bracket in the way, and I can't make the connection with...

Rain Guard for Model 3 Windows?

YMMV - I have the black Xipoo ones from Amazon, and they work fine for me. They aren't painted - they're the standard black plastic type. Only complaint I have is that the adhesive tape they use isn't of the best quality, so I had to supplement it with my own. Given the way the M3 doors open...

Buying used Model 3, new model 3 or Kia EV6

2021+ got a heated steering wheel, and (I believe) the updated center console.

Has anyone seen this before on the Uber turbine rims?

Gotcha. You might want to try some rubbing compound on it to see if you can remove the residue. Anything that has some mild abrasion to be able to remove it: Heavy Duty Rubbing Compound for Cars 10.5 OZ (or similar product)

Has anyone seen this before on the Uber turbine rims?

Agreed. Only other thing I can think of is that, when your wheels were stored, this one particular one (with the damage) was on top and inadvertently had something sprayed on it. Possible?

Buying used Model 3, new model 3 or Kia EV6

Looks like I'm one of the few people who bought used (a 2020 M3LR that had 12K miles), and I actually got a good deal. It cost me approximately $7k less (out the door) than new, so it was the right decision for me. Bought it just before the used car market went nuts, and even then I still got...

    DIY detailing for Model Y

Hadn't heard of Radiant, so I may give that one a try. The DIY ceramic solutions are pretty decent (IMO) for those of us who aren't willing (or able) to drop >$1k on a professional ceramic coating. I use Hydro SIlex: https://www.hydrosilex.com/ Produces great results, and at a cost I find...

    Screen glare

For what it's worth, I got the Tesmanian version to fit my Model 3. It didn't at first (appeared to be just a few millimeters off), but I filed a bit of excess plastic off of the lower back corners with a round file. Fits like a glove now! (Yes, I completely agree that such a move shouldn't be...

can anyone put their finger on this noise?

Thanks - that further complicates things. Best I could recommend at this point is to schedule a service call with Tesla (and forward them the clip). Definitely understand why it's bothersome - on a car that new, you shouldn't be having that kind of issue...but things happen. Give Tesla a chance...

can anyone put their finger on this noise?

Was the climate control on? Sounds like perhaps a bad bearing on a fan motor....if the CC was on, try adjusting the fan speed to see if the noise changes, or turn it off and see if it goes away...

    Vent Visor install question

I'm about to install these Vent Visors on my Model 3, but have a question. Mine has the vinyl wrap/chrome delete on the window moulding, so should I remove that vinyl where the adhesive will attach? Will they be more susceptible to coming loose (or off) if I attach it to the vinyl wrap? I know...

What did you sell/trade for your 3?

2017 Lexus GS350 AWD - Black/Black. Sold it for exactly what I paid for it two years and 12K miles ago. Now into a 2020 M3LR - MSM/Black with the 19" Sport wheels. Loving it so far!

    best custom interior floor mats

I recommend these mats from Manicci: https://www.manicci.com Ordered them for my new 2020 LR, and had them in my former Lexus GS. Very nice mats, and they look great!
