I had a Solar Roof + Powerwall installation in San Diego. City inspection was 4/11/23 and PTO was grated 4/30/23. SDGE told me they had 30,000 last minute applications trying to get grandfathered into NEM2.0. Taking that into consideration I'm very pleased with the 19 day turnaround.

Update: I got PTO from SDGE yesterday (4/30)! Timeline wise we had the city inspection on 4/11 after which Tesla submitted interconnection paperwork. SDGE did comment that they had about 30,000 applications submitted near the NEM2.0 deadline so their backlog was massive. Still though 19 days...

I wish there was a way to limit the max state of charge you charge the power wall to. For example I would like to be able to limit the max charging state to 85% with the idea that I would extend the cycle life. I actually recently put this request into the support tech time.

@aesculus Yah I see what you mean about the flashing jutting out. I wonder why they did that. I'm looking at what the crew are doing on my install right now and the flashing is almost flush with the fascia board.

@tisl427 I just noticed your aluminum flashings are silver. Was that an option or just the only option? I ask because my flashings are black and that was the only option I knew of.

Tiles were loaded but then we had some rain delays. Today though it looks like they'll begin with tile install!

Dry-in was completed today. Roof tiles get delivered on Monday and then they estimate about a week to complete tile installation.

From what I heard, in order to be grandfathered into NEM2.0 you have to make sure you don't have any resubmissions after April 14th.

Over the past couple days they took off the temporary underlayment and today they started installing their specific Tesla branded underlayment. So far the crew has been very professional and courteous!

Powerwalls are being installed! We went with a stacked configuration.

@holeydonut - These will be double stacked in a utility room. We do have fire suppression and a networked alarm.

I'm so happy to say that materials got dropped off today and install starts Monday for my 13kW Solar Roof and four Power Walls (2x PW+ and 2x PW). Hopefully I make it in before NEM3.0. To say I'm excited to finally get this underway is an understatement. I'll post pics of the process. Let's go!

Is this thread indicating that Tesla won't install solar on homes with fire suppression systems? All new construction in California is mandated to have fire suppression.
