This isn't actually that abnormal of a behavior. Many Li-* chargers charge to 100% and then balance the cells and waste some energy doing this. This is mostly done with larger multi-cell packs. So you may just be witnessing small balancing current + battery heater running ;)

It's just a different thermistor curve & orange panel presence sensor - this is what the DIY approach emulates by faking the proper state of the cover & adapting the thermistor to an extent. It broke for me in 2022.12.3.1 as well but it seems to be fixed in 2022.12.3.2 which installed yesterday. YMMV but so far (24h and 150+ miles) it looks to be fixed.

You are right about the software change on the car. However, as they own and operate the SC network they can do whatever they want and deny the service to anyone for any reason. Is the policy fair? That's a different question all together...
