I think this might affect the long term ramp up plan, I am actually referring to the 5k cars per week (20k cars per month) ramp up … this should help with lead times in the interim before the big ramp up comes into effect .

It’s starting to look like uk lead times are now a quarter long … a mild improvement but an improvement nonetheless… I expect that to shorten once Giga Berlin ramps up.

Picked up my model Y today… took 5 minutes or so…. So many cars at Trafford centre…. The car drives amazingly … build quality is spot on, ride quality excellent … currently enjoying autopilot… awesome

I am picking up my car on the 13th, I got the ALD ‘order update’ email on the 23rd of August… hope this provides some insight regarding the timelines

My pick up is on the 13th as well...I also called and was told that they had a list of things to do and the earliest day the car would be 'ready' was the 13th (Manchester pick up)

I think she meant your car would have gone through all the processes (customs, inspection, delivery booking and confirmation etc) by 27th for the delivery at your house for 28th.

Awesome, your car will eventually disappear from your app signalling that ALD have taken over, you will be added as a driver when you take delivery and Tesla confirm same to ALD ( you’ll need to ring ALD to get added though). That’s what they told me . My advice would be to ring them to confirm...

Same here but I don’t see the rationale in this end of quarter rush to have the cars arrive on the 31st and then we get to pick them up on the 13th (that’s my earliest date)… the rep said that the car would arrive only the day before… the awesome thing about all this is that we are on the other...

I had the same response… it’s definitely going to be pretty tight for Tesla … with ships landing and cars flying off to pick up centres and all…get ready for more motorway sightings to teslas being hauled all over the uk
