Apex 18x9.5 Wheels on 2022 M3P Hitting Knuckle

Not sure! I doubt you will need spacers. if you get your wheels and discover that you do Amazon and summit racing have lots for sale.

Question about wheels for M3P 2018

Sorry I meant to reply to this thread the other day! I love the Apex ec7 wheels in 18x9.5. these are the reasons why: they bolt directly on and clear the brakes and clear the chamfered lip on the hub, and do NOT require centering rings, even if they say they do. The offset is perfect front...

    Can I expect 200K miles from a100D? (Model X)

2022 Model 3 performance here, which is a gen 2 tesla, 42k miles. No maintenance, nothing has broken or failed other than replacing the gps antenna under warranty. We have just replaced tires as needed. No gas car could do that. L8d

I have absolutely had it with m3p 20’s

I highly recommend the apex 18x9.5 wheels. The ec7s are great, and I have no issues without hub centric spacers, on the street or track. Brake clearance is great. They are lighter and stronger than most other options. Simply a higher performance wheel than others at the price point. I run...

Antifungal spray for cabin air filter

And I removed that scoop shaped duct in video 1 and it has made the stinky smell show up 90% less. I have not changed my filters since I initially started this thread. As per the videos the rest of what's necessary is up to Tesla programming not sucking in outside moist air in an attempt to...

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

So are the front axles still an issue on new model X's if you get on power hard all the time? Have they improved that over time if they've made major changes?

Dual nema 14-50 into wall charger for charging at the track

Perhaps you could do better and make the post polite?

Dual nema 14-50 into wall charger for charging at the track

There was some good info in that post, and I thank you for it. I'll put it here for others to read: You’d need to make sure that the hot wires from the two plugs are on the same phase of service, that each leg of each circuit connects to the same blades in each receptacle, which you would...

Dual nema 14-50 into wall charger for charging at the track

I would love dc fast charging there but it's very uncommon. And I cannot hardwire anything on someone else's property. Anyone have any ideas? L8d

Dual nema 14-50 into wall charger for charging at the track

Please list the reasons, as that's why I made the post. What you suggest doesn't work due to voltage drop. Some of the 50a plugs at some tracks give a 5% voltage drop when producing 32a. The wiring gets hot enough asking 32a from a single plug.

Dual nema 14-50 into wall charger for charging at the track

Has anybody ever wired a wall charger to simultaneously plug into 2 nema 14-50 outlets for faster charging at the racetrack? I'm sure somebody's going to ask why so here goes...you need to charge as quickly as you can at the track, and you only have access to 50a plugs scattered about the...

Initial Cost Per Mile over first 10k

Let's agree upon this...trucks are good for work and construction. F150s are barely trucks, and most people that buy them don't use them for work. They use them to show the appearance of being hard working people. Tesla are made by Elon Musk, therefore nothing is finer. Elon knows best in...

Initial Cost Per Mile over first 10k

Totally agree. Just saying I don't see any f-150s on THAT kind of job site either.

Initial Cost Per Mile over first 10k

It would nice to see people with f-150s do real work with them. Even when they do they definitely wouldn't do that lol. Truck commercials are so funny.

Initial Cost Per Mile over first 10k

Tesla's are, in comparison to most other vehicles performance cars. Performance cars need high performance tires. High performance tires don't last as long as long mileage tires because they are softer. Yes they EVs heavier which reduces tire life. But in comparison to other performance cars...

2023.20.9 tpms position not updated after tire rotation

I have not tested to see if what they suggested worked. I would need to deflate or hyperinflate a tire and check it. I drove the car for a week and it didn't self correct. And used to be you press the tire rotation button and it would figure it out after like 60 seconds. I don't understand...

2023.20.9 tpms position not updated after tire rotation

I asked Tesla via app: Any recommendations on how to get the car to relearn new tire positions after a tire rotation? The new tire service reset button did not work. It thinks the front tires are the rear tires. I also did the two button restart on the car that did not help either. Tesla...

    Reset Learned Tire Values

It should be able to do its job. The car has some of the best computers in the industry, is upgradable over the air, and it didn't used to be a problem. It clearly is now to many people. Tesla needs to get their act together.

2023.20.9 tpms position not updated after tire rotation

I did press the new tire service reset button. It did not help, I tried it again it did not help. I reset the car with double buttons and it did not help. The car thinks the front tires are the rear tires and it's thought that for a week now. Any recommendations? L8d

Least expensive charging option better than 110

I would not be concerned running an extension cord and charging. The cool thing is you can watch for voltage drop on your screen in the Tesla while it's charging, and pick whatever amperage you're comfortable running to charge. If you have lots of voltage drop you're putting a strain on the...

Least expensive charging option better than 110

I don't know why you both got on a Romex kick. I was just saying that home charging at 3.6 kw (15a/240v) works well under normal circumstances for me.

Least expensive charging option better than 110

Yep! I gotcha. I'm good then. Thanks!

Least expensive charging option better than 110

Thanks for the info, it's 6g copper wire as Tesla specifies.

Least expensive charging option better than 110

At home I have a wall connector that is wired to do 48a 240v, with 6 gauge wires and a 60a breaker. Even though I have all of that juice, when charging overnight I limit my charge speed to 15a 240v, which is about 3.6kw. It's plenty for us as long as we plan ahead a little...like don't run it...
