App nor octopus IO not waking up model 3

Yes exactly the same issue - slow to wake, regular complaints from Intelligent Octopus that it can’t control the car, no signal in areas of signal. In fact I raised a service request today for it. Good to know it’s not specific to my car!

Thinking of coming back to the fold - what have I missed?

There are loads of improvements from the SR+ - heated steering wheel (this makes such a difference!) - massive range improvement, not just the bigger battery but heat pump / double glazed windows etc dramatically reduce heating overhead. - supercharger experience, much faster charging / better...

Wiki UK and Ireland Supercharger Site News

Tesla are on a tear recently. Car / charger ratio is definitely misleading. Firstly the chargers are much better - 250kw vs 150, but more importantly no power sharing between stalls (which turns a v2 into 80kw). 8 v3 are much more useful than 8 v2. Cars are longer range too. My older SR+...

I chatted to the workers, nothing to do with Tesla or the chargers

currently at Reading West and all superchargers are not working. V4 screens helpfully tell you that! Sadly using the gridserves at nearly double the price and half the speed :(

    [UK] ‘Highland’ order discussion

Without stalks how do you manually trigger the wipers, and how do you flash your lights? Is the answer ‘you don’t’?

    [UK] Price cuts

No doubt a factor in the price decrease (and previous increases) is the £ to $. In Sept as we all know it hit $1.08 and now it’s $1.22 - big difference for a US company

    Nightmare! (Supercharger queues)

Changing the nav is faffy, especially when you are doing multi legs and the supercharger as been added automatically by the car. It should be smart enough to not burn lots of kw preconditioning to arrive at a charger that will be slow anyhow (busy v2) When the pre conditioning message came up...

    Nightmare! (Supercharger queues)

What is frustrating is the battery heating taking up a significant chunk of kw to ‘speed up charging’ at a busy v2 station that will never max out your charge. I was at Telford the other day that was completely full, and only getting 55kw at my shared stall in my low SOC MY, losing about 20kw I...

    Model Y insurance high?

My renewal quote for my MY from Churchill has gone from £670 > £1170 - yikes! Only change is made a claim for chip on windscreen which doesn’t impact NCB. Not in London. Called them up and they couldn’t reduce. Did a look on moneysupermarket and on Admiral / LV and Churchill was the cheapest...

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

I got the Rimetrix covers for my 19s - really pleased with them. Look much better than the standard covers on my blue Y, and cover the alloys too so no curbing (or rather would curb the covers instead!). They are expensive as you pay high postage form the US and customs fee too - I was in the US...

    2022.20

Am on 20.7 and just did a long drive to the airport and back, so a good test of the new GoM. In short not very impressed, it guessed I’d arrive with 51% (from 90%) actually arrived with about 61% and I wasn’t driving cautiously. So it was out by about a third. What I do love however is seeing...
