My NL provider clarified (about modifications like towbar, EAP).. you can buy it after the lease has been setup. No tax benefits but in my case the Model Y LR is already <$1K from FBT threshold so it will be out of pocket expense.

SGFleet won't let me add towbar (or enhanced accel) to the lease vehicle. This could be a deal breaker.

I passed up picking up a MYP last week to get a MYLR and save $13K. Based on my experience with the MYP: i. Build Date 28 JAN ii. Left Shanghai 20 FEB +3wk iii. Landed Singapore 28 FEB +1wk iv. Left Singapore 30 MAR +4wk v. Landed Perth 5 APR +1wk Total delay from VIN (when it leaves Shanghai)...

For the bike rack a hitch extender might make it easier to load and unload the carrier ? Not suitable for extending the towbar..
