At long last I picked this beautiful bastard up. Arrived in mint condition. I was straight in and out. Only point of confusion is that I was under the assumption that it would come with Michelin Pilot Sports but I actually got Hankooks. Regardless it’s well worth the wait. So much fun to drive.

Anyone finance with ANZ and know how long they take to transfer funds after settlement? Settlement was on Friday afternoon for me and I'm supposed to pick up the car tomorrow but the balance hasn't updated yet and Tesla won't release the car until it's cleared.

You're not wrong. The "we will reach out with your invoice shortly" message on my order page was there for 7 months before I received it.😂 However given my car is already in Perth I'd hope that I won't have to wait too long before it's in my hands.

Delivery's not far away it seems. Just got the text saying they'll reach out soon to schedule the appointment.

Curious as to what your mates dislike about them. I've only done the one test drive and absolutely loved the car but obviously a single short drive doesn't really paint a good picture of what it's like to own one.

Wait are you saying the WA cars were offloaded in Melbourne to be trucked to Perth or that they were offloaded there so they could be loaded onto the Thermopylae? I'm no expert but trucking cars across the Nullarbor does not sound as safe/cost effective as shipping.

Just got off the phone with my SA, who reckons that (as far as he knows) the upcoming factory shutdown won't affect deliveries and that everything is still on track. So barring catastrophic incompetence/failures on Tesla's part (which I don't think any of us can rule out) we might be OK?
