    2024.8.4 strange issue (possily bug?)

Let's hope 2024.8.9 can make the airsuspension useful again. Looks like they push that widely out now. TeslaFi.com Firmware Tracker I keep "refreshing" the car for an update

    2024.8.4 strange issue (possily bug?)

Glad I found this thread. Just got this annoying issue after installing 2024.8.7. Resets, reinnstall software etc. didn't help. Was going nuts and about to make a service appointment. I may stop installing updates after this is fixed. Hardly anything in it for us with oldies other than...

    Front half shaft replacement instructions

Had this bulletin done on my 2015 P85D in Jan 2023. Both half shaft changed and the car have been good through a harsh winter without any heavy/hard driving at all. I've driven only 12k km after that bulletin, but today the left half-shaft started to make that same annoying noice during...

Service says $22k for new battery on 2012 Model S

Yes, they renamed the car to P90D in all displays, incl. the app. That was after the removing of the battery cap. The rear badge is however still P85D.

Service says $22k for new battery on 2012 Model S

Yes, it’s an acceptable risk to me. I’ll also take out an extra insurance for the DU/Battery after the warranty is out. Since the car only has 42 000 miles the insurance company accept that. Not sure about the price, but to pay 22 K USD for a new battery is out of the question.

Service says $22k for new battery on 2012 Model S

Yes, I was surprised when the price was confirmed (around 700 USD + Tax), and a definitely “yes” for me to get the extra 7 kWh unlocked. I guess it raises the value of the car more than that, but I’ll definitely not sell it as it has free supercharging with full good old charging speed now...

Service says $22k for new battery on 2012 Model S

I was just told that I could upgrade the car from a P85D --> P90D through Tesla for approx. 900 USD (inc tax). I asked in the app and got a confirmation call today. I was told Tesla capped all 85 packs when changed on warranty, but that I could free the “hidden” 7 kWh for that amount. They’ll do...

Service says $22k for new battery on 2012 Model S

I have a feeling it was more like "accidentally" since they were trying to tune the battery for 3 long days (8 AM-10 PM!) before they swapped to the new battery. But, sure, I'm super happy about the result. I'l post some more battery stats when I get my cable/OBD2 device I have ordered.

Service says $22k for new battery on 2012 Model S

Yes it's definetily capped. Supercharged this morning and was happy enough with the speed. Startet out at 85Kw@52% and arrived at 100% after approx 40 min. I had 33Kw@99% and 100% range is 248 miles. I topped it at home again (after approx 15 % loss) and the charge didn't slow down at the end as...

Service says $22k for new battery on 2012 Model S

I don't have Scan My Tesla or equal, and the app nor the car makes a 100% range estimate. It used to do so, but I just got a new GUI (MCU1-->MCU2). Something I'm misssing??? However, I get 143 miles@58% charge = 246 miles. They worked with the old battery for a long time, and must have done the...

Service says $22k for new battery on 2012 Model S

I just picked the car. For days they have been tuning the battery up and down and slowly getting more range out of it (checked severeal time a day through the app). They never managed to get out more than approx 2-3% less than my old pack (377 vs 389 km). Last night I got a message it was...

Service says $22k for new battery on 2012 Model S

Yes, I have complained. First they said it was normal with a new battery. I apparently had to drive the car to loose minimum 10 % battery capacity, and then recharge to 100 % 3 times for the BMS to calibrate (or something like that). Done that, and I’ve still have lost approx. 9 % capacity...

So I got the car back with the REMAN 1014116-00-C. There is NO sticker/label on the battery. I have checked behind left/right front wheel. It’s around 74 F outside and I went straitht for supercharging (15 min drive). Sadly, battery i still nerfed and I assume it’s a 85Kwh pack, not 90 Kwh...

Just got a replacement battery for my 2015 P85D (Warranty), Will pick the car tomorrow. The invoice says: ASY,HV BATT,85KWH, S3,BB,DUMO,REMANUFACTURED,MDLS (1014116-00-C). Any one know anything about a REMAN 1014116-00-C? Tesla parts lists the 1014116-00-C only as a 90KWh battery ...
