    Delivery was pretty smooth for me. The only thing I’ve noticed is when I’m driving there’s intermittently a high pitched almost whine sound. Has anyone experienced this? I suspect this is probably normal with the electronics

    Update on my question above. I’m at Tesla waiting to take delivery and they said they do reimburse depending on distance traveled up to 150. Check in 6-8 weeks. We’ll see if it actually happens, but figured people would be interested in knowing that it’s possible.

    No, they offered it to him for making the drive. I heard of other instances like this before. Specifically the ny location though, because of franchise laws there’s only a few spots where you can pick up in my thats out of home delivery range.

    I wonder if they changed their logistics for this quarter. My understanding is typically they do east coast first then west, but it seems like they are trying to do more batches by region, whatever that means? If you look at the existing inventory for model 3s it’s all over the place geographically.

    I think a lot of people were concerned as well because without a bumper camera, there’s a blind spot in front of the bumper. I don’t understand the tech enough to comment but would their new system be able to stop you if a small child or pet or animal crawls into that blind spot?

    The estimator on the website is just the base cost of the vehicle, i believe this happens at the dealers too- your actual cost probably includes things like registration, applicable taxes, etc which can add up quickly.

    I believe the only thing that comes standard is the j1772 adapter. So no 110v charging if you do not have the mobile connector

    Even though I hate to admit it, your probably right. It seems like this is the future we are headed to. Subscription models for everything from software to day to day items. Heck, I think rivian is doing the same thing with their membership.

    This is interesting. I wonder if this has anything to do with the transition away from LTE to 5G (ie. they can’t guarantee access in 8 years because there’s a chance they may turn off LTE like they did 3G when they made the transition).

    I know the EDD is likely to change again, but how lenient is Tesla with adjusting delivery times? It just so happens that this period covers a week where I’ll be out of town…when I ordered the EDD was way after this planned family trip.
