8 at front and 10 at rear is good combo for most people. I tried 10 and 14 and the rear is too soft and passengers would shake left and right when go over bumps. I adjusted to 10 and 12 now and wanting to change to 8 and 10 now. Stiffer may not be a bad thing.

Reinstall the spring and make sure it is sitting on the center/ Try to tighten the link things

IMO it rides much better than stock on the softest setting but it is not tuned for comfort for sure. It rides like a bmw M car. With the Ohlins high rate springs, it improved lots handlings and the car reacts better with acceleration and braking. Swift springs will help a bit more with the ride...

Do I have to remove the rear bump stop from the dust boot?

I am thinking about the same thing but nobody has tried yet.

Would it be possible to only have the rear OEM shock replaced with the teins? The Oem front rides fine for me. I just want to DIY it and the front installation is kind of too complicated for me.

It should help with the ride quality but don't expect too much of difference. Have you tried to sound deadening the car? Sometime it is the noise makes you feel like the suspension is too stiff. Tesla is known of having bad sound deadening.

Quick update: Swaped out the springs for Rt kit for my model Y, and the car is so much smooth on small bumps and small road imperfections. No major difference on the wave road and big bumps. However, the Y is lowered more than I expected. About three finger gap. Any way we can raise up the ride...

I got this kit as well. I planned to swap out rear springs with 9kg springs but keep front as 11kg spring. Would that be a problem?

I kind want to reuse the stock springs. Also If I just got the shocks and they will be cheaper. I don't see the difference between the flex z coilover vs just the shocks.

Please keep us updated for this one. I am thinking about buying MPP comfort adjustable one too but it is quite expensive.

I have a set of Ohlins road and track suspension coilovers for model 3 or model Y. I had them on for almost 1500 miles and they works great but I need something softer for daily ride. I am in Socal. Los Angeles but can go to orange if you want.

Yes. The softest setting.I have a 7 seater model Y. It’s basically a family car. We don’t like to feel the road imperfections, just smooth ride overall. The road and track kit is still too hard in the rear. I guess I should pay extra to get the redwood one or mpp setup

@tm1v2 I have a road and track kit installed by your shop. It’s set at stock height.Would it be possible to put the oem rear springs back for a soft ride? I think the front springs works fine but the rear is a bit too stiff. I have them set at 20/20 for front and back now.

Go with the tesla collision center, they get the part first. Approved body shops always have part issues. My car has been sitting in the shop over 3 months and still waiting for some critical parts. The body shop also has no idea when will the part will arrive.

It is better to total the car instead of repairing it. Tesla sucks at parts; most collision repair takes up to 6 months. My car was hired by another driver on 7/1 and the car still waiting for some parts. It sucks.
