Damn it!!! That’s what I get for cancelling my subscription and reinstalling. Should have known better. I talked to Tesla Service and they said Tesla has resolved one of the issues with NHTSA but there is still another outstanding they need to address. Getting inpatient….

Yes I have tried all these things already. And the camera housing is crystal clear too. I don’t think it’s a hardware issue, It’s got to be a software bug fix that’s why I was hoping maybe the new FSD corrected it. Strange it’s not happening in other models with the same software though. Beats me.

Should have bought an X haha. 2020 Model 3. Wipers engage nearly synchronized with autopilot or FSD engagement. They randomly wipe the entire drive with some longer pauses. No rhyme or reason to it.

Lucky. It’s quite frustrating.

Does anyone know if the new FSD v11 update fixes the random windshield wiping on a dry day for no reason issue?

I tried one day leaving climate on instead of turning off. The other day I had climate off and left sentry mode on. Just trying to figure out what drains the battery the most.

Mirrors folded car honked. Standby 10 mi used, seems reasonable. Sentry mode 10 miles used. Then incidental app usage and things I guess it all adds up to 20-25 miles.

I had also done a soft reset by pushing just the scroll wheels. Sometimes the sound doesn’t work on Sky Force just randomly which aggravates my 4 year-old to no end and the soft reset gets the sound back on. Not sure if the reset had anything to do with the battery drain.

HVAC was the issue because before I left the car I shut off the climate and also turned the power off through the security tab down at the bottom. Only 3.7 miles of standby loss. Whew! Thank you for the tips!

Re: other apps or websites with my Tesla credentials. I installed the myQ app to interface my Tesla to the garage door opener but it was draining prior to this. I can’t think of anything else, do you have any examples? I precondition the battery from home and do scheduled charging for set...

my model 3 is losing over 20 miles while I’m parked at work for 8 hours. I arrive the battery is at 160 mi and by the time I’m off work it’s 135. I turned off sentry and overheat protection, closed the Tesla App on my phone. Is there a reason this is happening and/or a way to fix it?

It’s definitely annoying. Had to buy new wiper blades recently because of this too.

I hear you, Tesla is great but this FSD just isn’t quite predictable enough to use consistently, too many WTF moments for sure. Phantom hard breaking, poor lane changes, creep, etc. when on the highway it’s okay but definitely not city streets.

Mixed feelings so far on the FSD beta. Some days it’s great, some days it acts like a distracted teenage girl 🤦‍♀️

How do you like it so far? Any good/bad experiences?

I know. I love autonomy but there should be some degree of human intervention allowance when stuff like this happens. I’ve now had to purchase new blades because the old ones wore out.

Thanks. I’ve heard that if users are on a higher version of the software ie. 2022.28 or higher they won’t get beta. Do you know anything about that? I subscribed yesterday so hoping to get beta. I have 2022.44.25.3

I just looked at selling my model 3 and the used car prices have fallen fast! Quote in August was $42,000 and quote in December $23,000. Crazy.

Thank you for the explanation. The weirdest thing happened yesterday for some reason I was able to to choose the wiper speed while in autopilot. I’ve never been able to do that before, if the car was in autopilot it chooses auto and you can’t switch. I think the car has a mind of its own.

Agreed. I drive in autopilot because I use Tesla insurance and autopilot keeps the safely score higher. So I guess for now I’ll deal with the annoyance of wipers wiping dry glass on a sunny day to save a few bucks lol.

I understand your point about the neural networks, but why all of the sudden when after 2 years of owning the car it has never had the wipers come on when starting autopilot? So many people having similar issues? My wipers literally come on immediately after engaging autopilot even at night...

thank you for helping. I read through the issues folks are having and it all seems pretty random. Did check the housing and it it condensation and spit free from a naked eye. Seems to point more toward a software issue. I just updated to 2022.40.4.1 but it’s raining today go figure. I’ll let ya...

No rain, fog, sleet, snow, or precipitation of any kind and my wipers continue to frantically swipe back and forth and in autopilot you cannot change the setting from automatic to off. Disengage from autopilot and you can turn off. Anyone have this problem and/or know a solution?

I had not experienced this phantom forward collision warning until yesterday when I was on a country road driving myself, in my lane, the oncoming car in the opposite direction in their lane, and a forward collision warning went off for no reason and dropped my score. 🤷‍♀️
