There have been a lot of car smash and grabs there in the past. LexisNexis® Community Crime Map However, there seems to be less thefts recently. Never a good idea to leave stuff in the open.

    Repairing a Flooded Tesla Model S : HOW-TO

I am positive that was part of the design, part of the safety engineering. Nice to see it worked.

    Repairing a Flooded Tesla Model S : HOW-TO

Yes, we all want to know about the Victory deodorant. ...Brismuth? On a serious note. I had no idea a MS would be so catastrophically susceptible to water intrusion. Yes, I do understand if the level is above the door threshold one should not expect much protection. It seems like there...

    Repairing a Flooded Tesla Model S : HOW-TO

Seems like it can be done, with a slightly ;edit MUCH; simpler car: http://alialrawi.weebly.com/my-blog/rescuing-2013-infiniti-g37x-sandy-hurricane-flooded This guy was able to repair his seats. Other than that, looks kinda similar.

    Repairing a Flooded Tesla Model S : HOW-TO

100% true. I can attest that phones and other electronics have survived immersion after steps were taken to clean and dry first.

    Repairing a Flooded Tesla Model S : HOW-TO

NOW you know what the *snap*crackle* was. Ouch. My fear would be what it was connected to that it ruined.

    Repairing a Flooded Tesla Model S : HOW-TO

It is only deodorant. If it was antiperspirant, you may have had less rust under the seat.

New renderings of storage space and 2nd row seats! (9/15)

This. Gen 2 versions will have folding seats.
  17. A

Will the second row seats fold flat? If so, how?

My opinion is that there are going to be two versions of the 2nd row seats. Both will work in a similar fashion. This is the base model seat from the Hawthorne event. You can clearly see a hinge up high on the seat floor support...

That free standing riser conduit is a first for me. Usually they are attached flat against the pole. Must be a new thing that was started after I left the utility company some 17 years ago.

how much would you be willing to pay for a nationwide charging network

Frightening thought. It would be a real issue. Currently each SC is centrally monitored and controlled. I would bet that someone may buy them and change them into a pay charger. I am sure many Tesla owners would still keep the cars and charge elsewhere or pay per use SC.

    freaking egg tossers!!!

I had a white Camry parked on the street egged 12/29. I was glad it was cold, and I noticed it in the late morning. The sun and heat can ruin things. At least two other cars in the neighborhood were hit. Took me 45 minutes to cold, to clean off. :cursing: I am also glad the car was plain...

    Smart home hubs

Wired is always faster, more reliable, and more secure. This will be important for high definition video. Most hardware could benefit from 23 gauge CAT6. CAT6A is about 2x the cost of CAT6. CAT7 is overkill for most and currency 3-4 times the cost of CAT6. If money is not object STP CAT6A...

    Smart home hubs

I second the network drops. You can never have too many. I retrofitted 24 new CAT6 drops into my home. I am currently planning for at least 24 more. IP cameras are a great way to go. I would suggest cameras that are open source API like AXIS. They can integrate into the AV and security...

    "Robotic Autoplug" (?)

I am with you on this. Although I can appreciate the forward thinking, I would like to see the exiting platform perfected. Shuffle should one of the easiest. Autopilot is a another step. Others, like 360 cameras, would take more work.
