I’ve owned several cars before and all of them have issues of windshield fog, especially in the rain and in the cold. But it has never been an issue with my Tesla (climate set as auto) so I’m just wondering if anyone knows what the reason is? Or have I just been very unlucky with my previous cars?

When the RWD option first came out, I bought the insurance and the premium was lower than what I got for LR. Already collected my car today and loving it so far :) and they don’t check the insurance when you collect your car which is to my surprise

I bought the insurance on the first date it was available, and I got a decent price for it £800 compared to £1000 for the LR. They must have changed price later realising only few offered the insurance.

Yes I suppose it varies depending on the car, on the dealer, and also on the one who’s collecting it.

Motorway requires you to upload pictures of your car including scratches and dents, which could take between 15-30 minutes to complete. I think it depends on who’s picking up your car, heard good experiences from friends who used Motorway, but in my case I was really surprised to see the chap checking every little thing of the car for 30 minutes while wbac agent just took a 30 seconds walk around… it also saves the owner time...

I just want to share a recent experience that I had when selling my car in preparation for Tesla. I had my car for 7 years which was bought brand new, so I tried Motorway first as the quote was about 13k instead of 12k from webuyanycar. Then it took me quite a while to take all those pictures...

That sounds like they are just jacking up the price as there aren't many providers atm. Must be very frustrating for you! Maybe try to lower the car's value and increase the excess a little bit to see if this could change? Sometimes adding a second driver helps massively as well.

Yes the registration number will only be registered by Tesla on collection day, but when I updated the registration number on Admiral’s site, it allowed me to do it and on the documentation, it also shows the registration number that I put in. So I assume it’s all good?

MYLR for me is around £1000, and rwd is around £800, so it's actually cheaper for me. May need to refresh a few times as the prices change all the time.

Sorry to hear that! Hopefully they reschedule you to a reasonable date. But I can see some quotes coming out as well which is much cheaper compared to LR, good new!

No you are not the only one. As suggested by other users, it’s starting to appear on the comparison sites albeit without the results. The only thing you can do is to wait, and worst case scenario is you have to sort it on the day of collection.

They added rwd option today on comparison sites, but may not return any results yet, so you (and I) just have to wait… I tried to call them but that was getting nowhere. I think in next couple of days, rwd quotes will be available, so you can get a ref number and then pay it on your delivery...

I ordered rwd, I was also shocked to see so many existing stock and yet there are still people waiting in the queue, hopefully they can match one for you!

When is your collection date?

You can cancel your current one and just buy from the existing stock, not sure if it’s more expensive now? I placed an order on 2nd Nov, and got delivery date on 26th Nov

Doesn’t work that way unfortunately, called several already, and they refuse to give a quote because the vehicle isn’t in their system (I suggested they can quote me on a lr, but they said no because that will not be my car). I mean I can do a quote for lr myself online, doesn’t need to call...

But if I select the car manually, there isn’t a model y rwd to select in the option, so do you mean I choose a different trim, then call them on delivery day to get it rectified?

Do we have any rear wheel drive owner? How can we get insurance? Phoning the insurance company doesn't work, as there is no rear wheel model in their database and they can't do it manually.

It’s hard to say as it’s not on a first come first serve basis, if you order their existing inventory now, you can get it this year, but I know there are still people who reserved it months ago and still haven’t got a VIN
