Stalk or no stalk argument [not] settled

I don't stop before changing from forward to reverse. Tesla does this nicely on low speeds when parking. Also when we are stuck on snow we want to change forward to reverse quickly multiple times to move away. Don't know if this will be possible with the screen shifting or with those buttons...

Does charging at 11kw reduce battery life, vs 3-5kw?

I find 11kW the ideal for home charging. It is fast enough that is not inconvenient and slow enough that wont affect battery on the long run. On a extreme situation I had a friend who went to north during hash winter and with mobile charger in a 220v wall socket and car parked outside he could...

    Lasfit Product Reviews

I have the same, not from this seller but basically the same. Most likely they come from the same manufacture in china and you can buy individual one easily. I really like them. I find the original 20" Uberturbine awesome, it looks really great. But I preferer them o other people car, not on...

Solved: Road Noise & Front Wind Noise

In the end of the day what block lower frequencies is a heavier mass. The ceramic wool is not as heavy of a MLV but if you stuff it in compressing it gets somehow dense, I believe that's why we have experienced a reasonable improvement.

Solved: Road Noise & Front Wind Noise

I just spent 2w and 4600km in Norway and the noise difference is huge. Here in Finland, at least in Helsinki region the asphalt is very rough, even in the areas they have recently repaired and look smooth, still they are louder. With the noise levels I got in Norway I would probably not even...

Model 3 accident.. was I at fault? [After arbitration my insurance says yes]

It is an odd situation. At first I was sure the BMW was 100% at fault, but then after understanding you were parked put yourself on the BMW driver position, he is "traking" the 2 cars that crossed just before you and were puting you in an blind spot. His mistake was to do it too fast without...

    Door / Window Rattles

I did similar few weeks ago. One thing I recommend is to put a felt tape all along the edges of the plastic panel. On mine the rattle was coming from there on the lower part of the panel. Some pictures.

    72 Hours - 250 Miles experience on HW4

In general the sound proofing of model 3 and model Y is quite poor. We benefit from the electrical motor silence which make other noise more preeminent. But is not only that, they are louder than lets say a Audi, Mercedes or Lexus. I have spend lots of time and money trying to reduce cabin noise...

Are others waiting for 2023.6.9 update?

There are planty of non FSD users on 2023.12.10, but they have slowed down. Usually when it is like this is a "limited" update followed by another one who is going brother. https://www.notateslaapp.com/software-updates/version/2023.12.10/statistics I am on 2023.12.9 and probably the next on I...

Solved: Road Noise & Front Wind Noise

I think actually the all weather make lots of sense here. The season are more or less like A- 40% winter B- 30% mild summer C- 30% should I have already changed tires or not? Around March-April and September-October the predominant topic on coffee breaks are "have you already changed tires...

Model 3 - All wet and muddy [Salvage - Flood damaged vehicle]

Yes I am not arguing on that. I think he has a poor understanding (or just neglect for the video entertainment) on what is required to legally drive. He probably kept things that are common check list on inspection like seat belt, break light etc... But obviously that doesn't apply to a heavily...

Review: Hankook iON evo AS vs Pirelli AS+ Elect vs Michelin PS 4S vs Michelin PS AS 4

I have the Michelin PS 4S and really dislike how loud it is. Will try the Pirelli All season plus elect next. The all season also make sense for me to give more flexibility in the shoulder season before changing to winter tires.

Model 3 - All wet and muddy [Salvage - Flood damaged vehicle]

This guy took everything out of his model 3 and it remained operating. What comes to my mind is if the HV system and drivetrain are working you don't need necessarily to have everything else fixed to have a functional Tesla. Of course you might want, but it can be done one by one with time...

Using Waze On Tesla Model Y

I have Teslogic and most of the time I use tesla navigation but with waze running on the background on the phone so it will give sound alert via bluetooth. If I want to see waze map for some reason I use siri voice command to ask to bring Waze on the screen instead of the teslogic. Tesla...

    One Pedal Driving

Regen is limited only for few minutes while the battery warms up. Usually not more than 3-5min. Winter tires here are mandatory. Yes it works similar to ABS. When it detects slide it correct very quick. But black ICE in a curve is no joke, it can take you by surprise and when you realize it is...

    One Pedal Driving

Traction control works very well in the ice, no complains about that. In fact model 3 is a beast in the winter conditions, except for ground clearance it is better than any other car I've driven in winter. But black ice can be tricky. Traction control does its job testing the limits of traction...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

I think we are going to see a park assist improvement only when tesla decide to update Enhanced Autopilot to actually make autopark and smart summon work. They might be working on it otherwise there would be never a robotaxi because those require to park and that will need a real parking capable...

    One Pedal Driving

Yes I agree with that. The way tesla implemented regen is the most efficient because it adjust the breaking distance to the most efficient regen and not the compromising the regen based on the breaking distance. And at the same educate drivers. Porsche approach with break pedal regen can in...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

It is not completely trash that it is wrong every time, sometimes it does correct. But by the time I am close enough to something that I could benefit from park assist it has already freaked out. There is no practical use the way it is.

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Still useless... Everyone was saying "this is just first attempt, will improve over time". Where is the improvement? I think this is very low priority for them. But elon said few days ago that it will be better than USS.

Farewell to Tesla, Hello Pug - until the next time.

As a second car a small BEV like the e-208 make a lot of sense. It would be a good car for really majority of my drive. The thing that keeps Tesla unreplaceable for me is to be more reliable on occasions that are less then 1% of my total drive.

ABRP help (or ABRP is so frustrating)

It depends a lot on the kind of trip, when it is a simple A-B with few chargers in between it is easy and I have done few times without warring. But in this Norway trip for example there are few places that I need 60% of battery in the morning to reach next charger and there are so many...

What components in a Tesla are made from fossil fuels?

In that case would be roughly 16 for tesla and 18 for polestar. Rough estimate from the graph.
  33. I

What components in a Tesla are made from fossil fuels?

Tesla on page 57, 37 ton CO2e per vehicle Polestar on page 29, 45 ton CO2e per vehicle I think this is reasonably similar since they have taken different energy source for the estimation.

Switch to hourly pricing for charging at home

Here we call it spot price contract. Even when you consider the spikes it is usually the cheaper because when energy companies offer a fixed price contract they want it to be low risk for them so the price is usually above the avarage price.
