    Supercharger - Payson AZ

There's a lot of good hiking and camping up on the rim - Woods Canyon Lake, Bear Canyon Lake, Potato Lake, to name a few nice areas. It also would open up a Phoenix-Payson-Young-Globe-Phoenix route for the brave and adventurous. I've never done the drive from Payson to Camp Verde, but I'm...

I think you're a little mixed up. The Northeast corner has Carl's Jr, Subway, Taco Bell, and Bashas.

    Supercharger - Payson AZ

I am INCREDIBLY excited about this supercharger. I've been checking almost every day for the 3.5 years I've owned my car. I will finally be able to make trips from Phoenix to Greer without having to go through Holbrook. Here's hoping this one gets finished quickly.

    Recommended Phoenix metro detail shop?

I second this! I had a tree fall on my Model S and scratch it up pretty good but Kyle got ALL of the scratches out. I've never been so happy with the service anyone provided.

    Supercharger - Globe, AZ

This is why I'd love to see a Supercharger in Payson. It's pretty close to the valley, but because most of the elevation climb is in this stretch, it wouldn't take too much more power to get over to the White Mountains from Payson. I'd also love to see one in Pinetop/Lakeside/Show Low. Right...

Scottsdale to Syracuse, NY via Flagstaff to Blanding

I've been hoping to try that route for a while now but haven't gotten to it yet. However, there are NEMA 14-50 outlets at Gouldings Campground in Monument Valley, and at Cottonwood RV Park in Bluff, UT. You could stop there for a little bit if you're worried you won't make it quite all the way...

Pull over Safely, Restart Car to Drive

I've got an update! I didn't get around to contacting the service manager, but either through this thread or the very brief online survey I took about my experience, Tesla reached out to me. The local service manager worked pretty hard to get in touch with me to make things right. I never...

Pull over Safely, Restart Car to Drive

Yeah, I looked through all their official documentation and it appears Roadside Assistance covers you for the first 50 miles, and you pay the rest. The "ranger visit" has absolutely nothing to do with it, but apparently that's what they charged me for instead of the remaining cost of the tow...

Pull over Safely, Restart Car to Drive

Nope. They showed up, loaded it onto the trailer, and drove it back. - - - Updated - - - That's how I feel too. Especially when it's so new and was so clearly not from anything I did.

Pull over Safely, Restart Car to Drive

I drove my Model S up to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix on Tuesday. Wednesday morning when I got in the car and shifted into drive it threw up an error "Pull over Safely, Restart Car to Drive". Tried restarting the displays, turned off the car, left it for a while, nothing would fix it. AT&T...

    Screen Protector.

I also got the matte screen protector and it's been fantastic. It removes almost all glare and only makes the screen a TINY bit more fuzzy looking. And the silicon FobPockets are fantastic. They add a nice keychain, good texture, and a bit of protection without adding hardly any girth. Also...

Looking for a test ride in SLC

By "airplane ride" do you mean in a real Orville and Wilbur Wright flying aircraft, or where you lie on your back and hold me up in the air while I put my arms out and make propeller noises with my mouth? Unfortunately, I'm 600+ miles a way so I can't benefit either way, but I'd still like to...

Supercharger or Mini Supercharger at home ?

What if instead of requiring a ton of power to the home for faster charging, you could get a battery at your house that would store DC power, and be able to quickly dump it into the car. You'd still use a HPWC (or something like it) to convert AC to DC, but you'd be able to dump it into the car...

As long as we're at it, we should probably also show where the emphasis is. It's "too-IL-la". Emphasis on the second syllable.

Winslow, AZ to Casa Grande SC?

I hope it's not too late, but I've got an 80A HPWC in Tempe you're welcome to use. Just let me know when you're coming. I'm right by the 101 & US 60. I just added my charger to PlugShare so it should be there now.

Updates for Model S with swapped steering wheel stalks but no Autopilot (~Sep 2014)

Back when 6.0 was released, a lot of us who had the steering wheel stalks swapped but didn't get Autopilot (built around September 2014) had to wait a long time for the update. One of the other owners was told by a SC that it was they had to thoroughly test the update on cars with this...

Can retracting door handles hurt a kid's hands?

What stevezzzz said. My hands get caught in there at least twice every time I wash my car. I can't imagine it hurting anyone, and two of my kids are real babies when it comes to pain.

    Arizona Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

Moving it to Deming is a bad idea in my opinion because it's 168 miles between Benson and Deming. A lot of that is hilly, and the speed limit is 75 so we'll be driving pretty fast.

    Supercharger - Benson, AZ

This is my new favorite post on TMC. These three locations are the ones I most want Superchargers at (except I'd rather see Jacob Lake than Page, but understand Page is a much more realistic choice). I like to call it Lost Wages.

    Supercharger - Benson, AZ

I, too, would love to see a supercharger in Benson. I frequently make trips to Portal, AZ (middle of nowhere in SE Arizona) and this would shorten my trips by ~90 minutes.

Casa Grande Meet-Up, January 31 at SCS

Surprisingly, it's neither. Apparently there are lots of different Bookman'ses. It's the "Bookman's Sports Exchange" at: 3330 East Speedway Boulevard Tucson, AZ 85716 This was my first time using a non-Supercharger so I might be confused, but it appeared to be free. It charged me $0.00 both...

Casa Grande Meet-Up, January 31 at SCS

There are two Level 2 chargers (J1772) at Bookman's on Speedway as well. I got about 44 miles per hour from them this past week, whereas I'm told the HPWCs at La Paloma are limited to 40A so you only get about 29 miles per hour of charge.

I-65/i-75 — A New Route from Chicago to Florida

If it takes you 1/2 hour to charge 76-109 mile legs you're doing something wrong. If you charge at every other supercharger it might take that long, but you'd halve the number of stops.

Will US Superchargers DOUBLE in 2014 over 2013 ?

http://supercharge.info shows 136 live in the US. It also shows 11 under construction and 12 more that have been permitted. My guess is they won't quite hit 150 by year's end.

    Leaking Sunroof

I haven't had an issue with the sunroof, but the front few inches of my driver's side window leak when I take it through automated car washes. I haven't contacted Tesla about it yet, though. I'm sad to hear their response to you.

Hearing about the D just 9 days after taking delivery of P85+ merits a switch!!!

I barely missed the sensors and am okay with it (took delivery 9/25). I'm a bit sad, but I don't expect Tesla to do anything about it.

Hearing about the D just 9 days after taking delivery of P85+ merits a switch!!!

Not a bad solution from the consumer's point of view, but then we'd all just wait until immediately after the announcements to order. Dealing with 90+% of orders during the first week of February, June, and October could be a pain for Tesla. They would either have to be at peak production...

Hearing about the D just 9 days after taking delivery of P85+ merits a switch!!!

You might be right, but I suspect that the potential upgrades for a Model S are much more varied and new versions can be rolled out more frequently (and less predictably) than tablets and phones. One of the tricks with small electronics is just getting everything to fit. Cars have a lot more...

Hearing about the D just 9 days after taking delivery of P85+ merits a switch!!!

Yes it sucks that many of us didn't get the autopilot sensors. My car seems to be one of the last ones off the line without them, and that sucks. A lot of us who took delivery in the past month would have ordered the P85D had we known it was coming. We didn't know, and that sucks. But Tesla did...
