Car's in the shop. Ended up using Tesla Collision Center as the Tesla authorized repair shops were too far backed out. Interestingly, the at-fault driver is refusing to give a statement to her insurance company, so the process is being drawn out.
Was taking my wife out to dinner for her birthday when some crazy lady tried to go around me in a single lane underpass. Of course she gets all apologetic after hitting me, and tried to offer me a Zelle payment so I don't file an insurance claim.
Feeling a bit down because MX is only 3 months...
Perhaps the legality may vary from state to state, but they had no issues sending me a second tag. In fact, they stated that in Texas, they typically leave a second temporary tag that extends it another month in your glove box.
I'm not holding by breath on a firmware update fixing this any time soon. Keep in mind Elon promised a firmware update for push center horn for yoke steering wheels almost 2 years ago.
Took almost 2 months to get my registration documents in, after Tesla screwed up multiple times. I called them after a month only to find out they had not submitted anything because they claim I never uploaded proof of insurance. Mind you, I use Tesla insurance, and I am required to provide...
Took my 2023 MX in a month after taking delivery and dealing with the back seats vibrating like they’re not bolted down properly as well as door rattling, seats rubbing against each other etc.
Of course Service thinks this is operating as intended and somehow attributed it to the seatbelt. Sigh
Still can't get Tesla to figure out my registration mess. Temp tag has officially expired and I was on hold for 3 hours today trying to get a hold of someone. When I finally did, it was the same scripted "we're working on it" response and they'll email me a second temp tag to print out. Fingers...
Unfortunately, this is always going to be there if you want to own a MX. I sold my 2022 MX because the rattles and squeaks were driving me INSANE. Silly me still got a 2023, and a week after delivery, back to square one with the rattles.
That's not how demand and supply work. Existing inventory and demand pipeline come into play, and Tesla seems to have a healthy pipeline of orders for the X at the moment.
Every Tesla I've bought in Texas comes with the temp tag taped to the back windshield. Went to grab dinner tonight and was pulled over by a cop because apparently TX law states that all plates must be in the designated area, including temp tags. I told him that's how Tesla delivered the vehicle...
Slightly unrelated but my second-row seats just malfunctioned and are inoperable being stuck at a 45-degree angle, so looks like I'll be without my car for a few days. Apparently this is a somewhat known issue with the 7-seaters.
My delivery was out of town and I flew out with the plan of driving back same night. Delivery was scheduled for 6pm and although FedChoice sent the proof that they had wired he funds in the morning, Tesla claimed they hadn't received it, and I was forced into getting a hotel to stay overnight...
My first order of felt is coming in tomorrow to try to solve the leather-on-leather squeaking from the second-row seats. On the bright side, it's NOWHERE near what I had to deal with on my 2022 MX. This may be a sigh of good things to come for me!
Have you been assigned a VIN? When you do, you will see the MVPA in your Documents folder, which is "signed" by someone at Tesla. In reality, it's just a name in the signature column, but that's considered signed. You will need to sign a portion of it, then send over to FedChoice.
Had the same issue with mine. It randomly started working after a few days again. I'm keeping an eye on it. I believe it is software related. Have you tried a hard reboot?
Not sure if I posted pictures already but here she goes; picked up last Tuesday. Ended up canceling my order and grabbing this when it popped up in inventory. It was almost exactly what I ordered - only difference was this had the yoke vs the steering wheel in my original order. Figured I'd just...
