    Price Drops and Facelifts

I'm not so sure about updates you know. Lots of activity in Shanghai and Texas just now. I take your point on it though.

    Price Drops and Facelifts

A slight side-question for you if that's OK? Is there anything you miss from your M3 having moved to the MY - or was it all a gain?

    Great perspective - thank you!

    Price Drops and Facelifts

It's an interesting time if you are thinking to buy! We have an M3RWD (which we really like) but have been eyeing up a MYLR to replace our current ice SUV. At the current inventory discount it is very tempting. However - these price cuts have to be a precursor to the facelift models coming...

    Supercharger preconditioning

At the Investor day they did say they are going to roll out routing updates that will be aware of current and upcoming charger location activity levels and flex the routing if it can. Won't solve every problem but will be a positive step.

    Supercharger preconditioning

I think we'd all agree it's not necessarily on all the time - but for however long it was on it still 'stole' 30 miles of range which doesn't then seem to pay back proportionately in terms of charging time saved. I wonder if this is really all because of the relatively low temps in the UK...

    Supercharger preconditioning

We had a similar experience recently. Drove 98 miles to Woodall services and the battery preheating was on from the start. It cost in the order of 28-30 miles energy usage - to then charge at only 50kw because Woodall is limited to 125kw maximum anyway and was busy meaning we had to share a...

To "Sentry" or not to "Sentry"....that is the question

(Same experience here - about 30-90 seconds before the red dot).

To "Sentry" or not to "Sentry"....that is the question

Unfortunately I think (just reading the manual now) you can only exclude home/favourites from otherwise 'always enabled' which is probably very useful but not quite what I'd like to do by scheduling sentry mode periods at favourites and at home. Tessie lets you do that really slickly.

To "Sentry" or not to "Sentry"....that is the question

Thanks - I think the ability to schedule sentry mode at certain locations and time periods is really useful to me (via Tessie) as opposed to just always on/off at set locations - but maybe that's also possible via Tesla's own software too and I just haven't found it?

To "Sentry" or not to "Sentry"....that is the question

True - but this way it automates sentry mode for when I've parked the car to walk my daughter the last quarter of a mile to the school. The car would automatically have sentry mode running through that period.

To "Sentry" or not to "Sentry"....that is the question

That's a really smart tip - Thank you! If I set Tessie automations to enable Sentry Mode at say 0700 and then disable it again at 0900 do you know if it works even if I drive the car (school run!) During that time - i.e. does it re-enable after the drive as long as it is before 0900? Cheers.

    New M3 Suspension noise question

Hi - and thank you for this. My noise is very much less obvious than yours I'm afraid. It definitely sounds as if you have something loose or worn from your video though? I've not really managed to capture the noise on video and as a new owner I'm wondering if it is just a bad trait of the M3...

Is it worth purchasing a MYP now, even with the old cameras?

I'd agree with general sentiment on here. Life is traveling in one direction. Technology is ever improving. Today's Teslas are genuinely grin-inducingly brilliant but have downsides (Don't mention USS deletion....). Tomorrow's Teslas will be the same in terms of grins/downsides, next year's...

2 EV Household - what else you got?

Zoe 50 GT-Line as a second car. It's an awesome small EV.

    New M3 Suspension noise question

Many thanks for the reply - it's certainly fairly cool here just now (UK) - between 24 and 40 degrees F. Maybe that's a factor? I'll see If I can record it but I suspect it wouldn't stand out well enough to be honest. Thanks again, Jeff.

    New M3 Suspension noise question

Our new M3 RWD tends to have low-level but annoying suspension noise around town - over sharp ridges or sharp drain cover dips etc. It's not some massive clunk or knock more a lower level 'pattering knock' sound - but given how quiet the car is the sound can be irritating. I'd say its is...

[UK] 2023 Orders to Delivery for M3 and MY and personal shipping related questions

Just tonight we confirmed our collection date. 6th February. 10 days after we ordered. Frankly bonkers but I'm sure it's because our car is a base level, white, Model 3. Still amazing though.

[UK] 2023 Orders to Delivery for M3 and MY and personal shipping related questions

Ahh - Cheers for the reply - then maybe it will happen. I guess as the most basic model it may be more likely to be 'spare' - bit of a contrast to the car we had originally thought we might go for - that was quoted as 'at least 9-10 months'.

[UK] 2023 Orders to Delivery for M3 and MY and personal shipping related questions

We ordered a car from Tesla in Stratford (Upon Avon) on Friday 27th January - a completely std RWD M3 in White. We immediately had a message saying delivery would be between 28th Jan and 11th Feb. We were amazed.... Are we just being naïve though - is it really likely to be that (bonkers) fast...
