    Model s headlight fault

Rubbish if you have to negotiate a price. A lot of people feel uncomfortable negotiating. Don't most manufactures have a set price for parts? Not sure Tesla needs to do everything differently!

    Tesla Alternative?

I think the Fisker family worked with Tesla on the designing of the model S before going it themselves. Probably why we are seeing some similarities.

    UK - 90D 2016 Extras + Tesla Warranty

UK only. Working from home permanently means we don't need 2 electric cars. Unfortunately the wife wins and we are keeping her car, so the model S is up for sale. The car is still within warranty and includes 5 remaining months of Tesla used warranty for peace of mind. Lots of extras...

Have you lost faith in Tesla?

I wonder if the results differ between model S & X owners compared to 3 & Y owners?

    2nd HV battery replacement!

I feel for you. You know something is wrong. They likely know something is wrong and yet won't do anything, hoping you might give up. Well done for sticking with it!

Thinking of buying a used Model S

Mine has stage 1 autopilot which some people prefer. It works fine on the motorways but I don't tend to use it preferring to go with the adaptive cruise control instead. I've still got some of my used warranty remaining. The items listed was split over two visits to the service...

Thinking of buying a used Model S

Beige brightens up the interior compared to black. Circumstances can change so you may regret not going for a bigger battery. Ours is our main car so a 90D was important to me. I got MCU1 and not had any slowness, although Tesla did replace the memory (VCM to eMMC) whilst the car was in for...

    Just another Road Trip post

First stop with my Model S 90D added about 16kw, roughly 31%. Second stop added 15%. I wouldn't of got back without the 1st stop. 2nd stop not needed in hindsight but since we were stopping anyway, a quick top up removed any worry of an unplanned diversion. Had I charged longer the first...

    Just another Road Trip post

I too did a road trip this week to Devon (a little over 320 mile round trip). The day before, ABRP suggested I would arrive (leaving with 100%) with 37% battery remaining. Car predicted 42% before we left. Left late evening, no traffic and including a 15 min diversion due to nightly road...

    [UK] Price cuts

More weight = less range, lol. Does anything Tesla do make sense?

Seeking advice on purchase of a UK Model S (motors and batteries replaced)

The existing owner didn't own the vehicle when the battery pack and motors were replaced, hence no record. That makes sense as the service history is not transferred to the new owner (I guess because of GDPR, although blanking out names, addresses etc... by a leading tech company shouldn't be...

Tesla cons -article in the Sun

Clearly it is not slowing demand since that continues to increase, but if it does make a few people question the EV route, at least it gives the UK government more time to sort out and expand the public charging infrastructure. Although that might be hopeful wishing on my part.

Trade in Values from Tesla (& other dealers)

Our e-Golf has had no rattles or noises compared to our model S. The two model 3 courtesy cars (2021 & 2022 models) were even worse and put me off considering a model 3. Plus seeing metal bodywork inside of the car made me feel like I was sitting in a Mii/Citygo/Up. Personal preference of...

Advice on selling a Model S in the UK?

I have a 2016 model S but no free supercharging. New ICE cars come with either 3, 5 or 7 years warranty in the UK and yet the majority of people don't batter an eyelid if they continue to hold onto those vehicle outside of the warranty period. EV's are still relatively new to us and it's more...

Model S tyres, which ones to choose?

I'm tempted to go with all weather tyres when my model S needs new boots.

UK: buying from Tesla used inventory.

Tesla goodwill of a voucher doesn't go far in the Tesla shop! In my experience, most dealers hassle you to buy extras as AndyFov mentioned above which is time consuming but at least they reasonably good at communication throughout the purchasing process. In my experience, Tesla sales team has...

    Tesla Alternative?

And yet many people knew someone who owned one :D

UK: buying from Tesla used inventory.

Your find many examples like this when looking across the Tesla range on the inventory. Does how long the vehicle has been on the site impact price?

UK: buying from Tesla used inventory.

My wife has an e-Golf. She loves it and it's been fault free. However £22k for a vehicle that can go over 100 miles more would be a tempting alternative.

    Mobile Service

Thank you for the assistance. In the end I put a request through for this to be a ranger appointment, which they agreed to. Odd this wasn't an option at the start. The build quality worries me with my model S warranty expiring at the end of the year. The alternative is living with defects...

    Mobile Service

Thank you for your responses. Very helpful and confirms mobile bookings have not been obsoleted. I've put a request in the app for a mobile appointment so fingers crossed. I've only had the car 3.5 months (Tesla owned previously) and already it's been in the service department twice (total of...

    Mobile Service

Does anyone know if Tesla has stopped providing mobile technicians? Following a 2nd visit to my local service centre resulting in a wing mirror being replaced, the technician has caused excessive wind noise to enter my model S from that area. I refitted the rubber surrounds just inside the...

Used model s buying dilemma (UK)

Your opening statement clarified why you wouldn't consider a model 3 or anything else other than a model S. Do you have a preference on facelifted or pre-facelifted from the two you outlined? Personally, the extra 2 years warranty (if supercharging is included) would sway me toward the 90D...

Used model s buying dilemma (UK)

I explored degradation and life of batteries to death, pardon the pun before buying my 2016 90D. I've concluded failures of batteries tend to occur from 150K miles onwards on older 2013/14/15 models. As the years went on, battery technology improved and were included to newer vehicles. The...
