" Europe and Asia are pending regulatory approval "

I believe the file download is about 250Mb so shouldn't take too long to download. Happens I'm the background then once downloaded you get the notification that an update is available. The install then takes about 1h 40m as per other comments. Unfortunately it appears that no one in Europe has...

Though still no sign of it in the UK yet... (Saturday)

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

Actually this thread is still valid. V7 is still not available in Europe. Hopefully that'll change next week unless we hit a massive regulatory road block that requires lots of nanny state intervention.

" Europe and Asia are pending regulatory approval "

yep! What he said! Haven't we waited enough already!?! Another let down given Elon only said last week that it was rolling out Worldwide today. Fingers crossed we don't have to wait too long.

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

Happy Anniversary!! Autopilot demo'd 1 year ago today with an opening statement on how they've managed to accelerate development and bring it to market early. This is a milestone I hoped we wouldnt hit!

    Stereoscopic cameras on the front?

    I think you're spot on.

    Firmware 7.0 Beta Discussion

Yep. This ^ There is a version number in the vid, would be good to understand if it matches the V7 EAP beta. I've seen comments to suggest it's not beta as they end 1xx but I could be(hope I'm) wrong

    Firmware 7.0 Beta Discussion

Even their website shows the MX with stereoscopic camera's so I'd expect the Sig cars at least to have AP V2 hardware. Surprised these have AP V1 hardware but perhaps time constraints forced TM down that route.

Yes, I noticed the same thing. I'm using an iPhone 6 just fyi.

    Firmware 7.0 Beta Discussion

I believe (from comments on these forums) that there is no nag unless the car loses sight of road painted lines. I expect Autosteer comes on with TACC assuming you have it enabled in settings and the road meets the conditions required.

    Firmware 7.0 Beta Discussion

Do you think the suggestion to hold the steering wheel is simply because it's a beta or are we going to always have to keep a hand on the wheel, S-Class stylie?

Come on down! You're the next contestant on The Autopilot-Release-Date Is Right...?

I hope you're just trolling. Elon gave a specific date that the beta would start. We've seen leaks with cars running v7.0, one of which was definitely from an EAP owner. Granted, we have no confirmation that auto-steering is in that release.

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

The CEO has previously stated that Tesla are the first car company to use the EyeQ3 chipset so I'm guessing this is a reference to them. Will be interesting to see how things develop but I believe the autopilot functionality we believe is coming, will be delivered using the existing AP installed...

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

@Breser - My car was one of the very early autopilot builds, (was built 2 days after the announcement) and it has the screws fwiw.

    Auto pilot beta testing out

I like it. Obviously the car is stationary and not far from another car hence the distance sensor display on the left hand of the screen. I'd love to see some more shots of it in auto-parking mode, cruising along in autopilot and non autopilot mode.

    Acceleration / deceleration instability - new 85D

I have the exact same issue with my P85 (non D). The car is in with Tesla at the moment whilst I'm on vacation but I have recieved a report through that the issue has been fixed. The resolution is described as "Toe link to the sub frame & Toe link to the knuckle found to be below spec. Inspected...

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

I think the point was that we are expecting hands free driving such as this Infinity (Infiniti Q50 Active Lane Control - Selfdriving Car - YouTube) or this Mercedes C Class (Mercedes-Benz C Class 2015 – Distronic Plus with Steering Assist (in traffic/tolls) - YouTube) rather than needing to...

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

I agree. I'm more frustrated that I've believed the hype/Elon. Based on Tesla's promotional material, demonstration, conversations with Tesla staff etc, I have been misled to believe a product I purchased in good faith was going to have some compelling features that would raise the bar in driver...

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

Tesla making inaccurate estimates is one thing, demoing the actual Autopilot is another. Its completely misleading to demonstrate full Autopilot, charge your customers for it and then not deliver it for a year. Totally unacceptable.

    Info on Autopilot + v7

Yes, so we need to ensure all the beta testers insist on no (or minimal) nag

Design Studio Update: "Lane keeping and self-parking updates will be available soon."

So, according to the Q2 call, v7.0 being released to 'Early Access' (closed beta) on August 16th. For the rest of us, 1-2 months after depending on success. So, we've got a while to go yet...

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

Cars with Autopilot hardware were delivered a week or so before the October announcement so yes, it'll be a year... Very disappointing.

    Info on Autopilot + v7

I thought about this on my way home from work and have now changed my opinion. Using they TACC stalk is too close to the steering wheel. When I pull the lever stalk I use the steering wheel for leverage. Wouldn't be a good option if the moving the steering wheel disables auto-steering in any way...

    Info on Autopilot + v7

I'm going with TACC stalk. Makes sense to tug it, push it, prod it or whatever once in a while if they need to. My preference would definitely be for a no Nag option! Having to pull the stalk to resume TACC after it's gone into 'HOLD' after 3 seconds is already a bind :)

    Info on Autopilot + v7

Without giving the game away, could you give a few examples of what method of pestering they might be using? IE, tap something on the main display every few minutes, touch the steering wheel, hit a button on the wheel, push the TACC stalk, etc? Is it one of those?

Come on down! You're the next contestant on The Autopilot-Release-Date Is Right...?

It will DEFINITELY be between August 10th and 25th. The reason? I'm away on holiday and won't be able to update/drive the car. I'll pick August 12th as the day first available day in that period. I guess it would give me something to look forward to getting back for :)

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

yes, it was RegoApps. He posted about it on here. He's a honest guy and I have no reason to doubt him.

When does version 7.0 beta come out?

Yes. By invitation only unfortunately (and many of us have repeatedly tried to get on it without success) :frown:

Speed limit sign camera - USA vs. Europe / UK?

Works fine in the UK, even in variable speed limit zones such as the M25. The camera is able to read the speed from the overhead gantries.

Lol . Can't say I'm shocked. Will be interested to know when your friends gardeners wife's brother gets it.

When does version 7.0 beta come out?

So, have Tesla pushed out the auto-steering (6.3?) beta to Early Access yet? ...and yes, I know anyone in the programme is under strict NDA etc. I'm not asking who is testing it, whether its good or not, what it includes, I simply want to ask (given that it was publicly announced that the...

When does version 7.0 beta come out?

Yeah, it appears most new cars can self parallel park. No idea if the Tesla will be able to perpendicular park too, I'd certainly hope so, my reversing skills are rubbish. I keep accidentally ignoring the ridiculous parking chimes (they give no assistance at all really imo, if they increased in...

    Apple Watch battery life discussion

Anyone who says Apple Watch battery life is poor clearly doesn't have one (or is a troll). I use mine throughout the day, checking weather, reading emails/messages, checking model S etc, using Apple Maps directions (the best feature imo) and I've never used more than 45% of the battery in a 16...

When does version 7.0 beta come out?

In a previous announcement he said that auto-steering would come first (around June) and V7 was September/October time. I feel this is why he had to announce the beta at the shareholder meeting as technically the auto-steering is late and only just entering beta. They usually don't announce...

Tesla credit card key - who's interested?

Its certainly quicker than the Tesla app. Allen (Regoapps) has explained how and why over on the Remote S thread. I use it (and remote start) quite a lot, always been flawless.

Remote S: Tesla app for Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

+1 for the watch and phone voice commands. Lots of interest in the UK user groups!!

    Autopilot "in three months"

Didn't Elon say Lane Keeping would come out in the next release and V7 would follow that? I had June (6.3) for Lane Keeping and September for V7 (new gui, self parking etc). Time will tell but I believe 6.3 is very close.
  44. T

    Firmware 6.1

@Bobbyducati, looks like you're the first car with Autopilot. Can you let us know if the Autopilot features also get enabled as part of this? thanks. An exciting day to be a Tesla owner!!

    Schedule for Autopilot features

Bump I was advised it would be end of Dec but may slip into early Jan. Anyone heard anything else? I could really do with ACC - I've a 900 mile trip next week :)

    Autopilot UK delivery.

@Rluner, do you mean that your car has the full autopilot (active cruise control etc) more than the lane departure and speed limit features? If so, what software version is on the car?
