Final post on this thread: Summary: Model Y LR, White/Black, 20", 5 seats, no Tow. Ordered June 8, took delivery today June 22 at the Raleigh, NC location. Everything went smoothly, completed trade in and new car purchase (cash deal) in 22 minutes. Car was immaculate, and is now getting...

And now pickup set for June 22nd, earlier than projected. Must say, pretty impressed to go from ordering to taking delivery in 14 days. Great job Tesla!

doug, it depends on what the laws are in 3-4 years. Under existing law, you could buy 2 Teslas in 2023 and get 2 tax credits, assuming you otherwise qualify.

If you ever look at used inventory, they first show you offerings in your area, then they show you vehicles across the US with the associated fees to move to your location. So Destination Fee is different from Transportation Fee.

I should have clarified my earlier response: The other EV manufacturers, Genesis, Hyundai, Kia, etc., are offering to reduce the lease capital by $7500 in an effort to compete with Tesla's $7500 tax credit with purchase as they are ineligible for that tax credit due to the IRA provisions...

bsnelson, you do not get the tax credit, but you should be able to negotiate the $7500 of the lease off the top, since the leasing company is enjoying the tax credit.

You file a form at the time you file your 2023 Fed tax return. Tesla is also sending documentation to the IRS to corroborate your qualifying purchase.

Question regarding the Tesla OEM carbon fiber spoiler. Tesla's website indicates you order it and then a service center installs it for the (high) price. Can you do that concurrent with your order of a new Model Y? In other words, can you get a new car and have them install the OEM spoiler...

Is there any consensus or insight as to whether there is any color/options/wheel configuration that might yield a faster delivery time? I have read many comments that the MYP can yield a faster delivery, but we want the LR version. Also, if I do switch from my current order of MYLR...
