I continue to be amazed at the hatred for EVs

EVs must also be affordable for mass market.

I continue to be amazed at the hatred for EVs

Perhaps most people don’t hate EVs per se, but see them as a reminder of government electrification mandates that threaten their livelihood and way of life. Any changes of this magnitude in such a short time are likely to create anger, regardless of the proof of need. Dr. Juran once warned that...

    Unlink Spotify from Phone

Problem Resolved:) This morning Spotify is using Tesla internet (premium connectivity) again. Login info must have been stored from last time it was set this way. I removed Spotify from my iPhone last night, but other than that I have no idea why the problem resolved itself.

    Unlink Spotify from Phone

I accidentally linked Spotify premium to my iPhone. I see no options to "unlink" to get a login screen, using Tesla internet. I have tried display and power resets.

    Tesla Lease South Carolina

I bought the car. I assume a lease would be handled the same way, but not sure.

    Delivery at Distant Tesla

I ordered "built to order". I just received a reply from Tesla, saying all SC registrations must be delivered in NC.

    Tesla Lease South Carolina

I live in Hilton Head, SC and told my delivery will be in Mathews, NC, over 260 miles away. Text message said all Tesla's being registered in SC must pickup in NC. I bought my last Tesla in Savannah so go figure.

    Delivery at Distant Tesla

Trading model S LR for new Plaid & delivery location is Matthews, NC, over 260 miles away! Local Tesla sales is about 30 miles in Savannah & where I bought the S LR. Of course, no reply from Tesla to my text. I think car is already on lot, so maybe they are saving some extra delivery costs?

Autopilot and park assist is degraded tesla3 2023

I had the same issue a month ago and again this morning. Resolved it each time by Menu>Safety>Power Off (you have to scroll to bottom). Wait at least 2 minutes, then touch brake pedal.

Car & Driver: The Mach E is simply better than the Model Y

Representative Thomas Massie (who is also an MIT EE grad) says we are relying on political science rather the engineering regarding our current green energy goals. Were his comments off base during this interview 9 months ago:

Car & Driver: The Mach E is simply better than the Model Y

Focus on the entire electrical energy infrastructure required, rather than just pushing for more BEV’s. Need a more overarching plan.

I'm picking up my MSLR 2023 this Friday, and I'm absolutely having second thoughts now.

If ever activated, maybe HW4 with radar will not be so bad? See here:https://e2e.ti.com/blogs_/b/behind_the_wheel/posts/how-radar-outmaneuvers-ultrasonic-in-automated-parking

I'm picking up my MSLR 2023 this Friday, and I'm absolutely having second thoughts now.

I have a new Model S delivered on 3/31 and see no mention of HW and nothing coded other than Cel IMEI and WiFi MAC Address.

Here is a link that may help to answer this question: How radar outmaneuvers ultrasonic in automated parking

    Parking and cameras

What about recent HW4 models with front radar capability, if and when activated?

    Parking and cameras

I am new to Tesla with Model S delivered 3/31. I think that Model’s 3 & Y are the ones getting this 2023.6.9 software update. Once, debugged we should be getting our update at some point. In the meantime, no distance sensors front or rear.

    Quality Culture at Tesla

There are lots of customers on this Forum that complain about problems and some have bought several models over the years. Should they all go away as well? Also, it would be more helpful if you debated the message rather than attacking the messenger. What exactly do you not understand? My point...

    Quality Culture at Tesla

Without any real competition, Tesla has been able to set its own rules and make a ton of profits, but most likely this won’t last forever. The industry will mature and competitors will develop comparable products. But if Tesla doesn’t change, competition will see an opportunity to differentiate...

    Quality Culture at Tesla

I am a new Tesla customer with a MYP on order. So far, I have been surprised at the poor service quality with a complete lack of contact, excepting no reply emails. The order confirmation was via an email instead of text message, so I have not been able to reach a human being. There are no...

Recommended Wheels/Tires to Soften MYP Ride

Thanks, I saw that approach on a YouTube video by the Automotive Fanatic. He moved the rear 275/35/21 tires to the front and bought 295/35/21 tires for rear. This would be the least expensive approach and would have a negligible effect on the speedometer/odometer.

Recommended Wheels/Tires to Soften MYP Ride

Hi: New member today! I have a MYP on order with delivery expected in late March, my first Tesla:). I am thinking about changing to smaller wheels and tires with more sidewall to improve the ride. I would be selling the factory tires/wheels. Is there a recommended combination that, hopefully...
