2020 Model S Wheel Offset and Fender Clearance Question...

I'm running 275/40/19 in the rear on 19x10s w/ a 40mm offset. I've heard of people running 20mm spacers with this setup, which would be a net-offset of +20. You should be okay.

    anyone traded from 21" to 19" ?

On my 2020, I just went from staggered 21s to staggered 19s and what a difference! So much more comfortable, more range... I went with Pilot Sport A/S and I haven't noticed much of any decrease in handling either. Very happy with the switch. Only complaint is that there's a bit more wheel gap...

2020 Model S with BMW wheels including range impact

So I wound up buying 19" Apex wheels that are replicas of these wheels and DAMN they look good. Once it's nice out, I'll get her all cleaned up and post some pics.

Dont Feel Break Regen as much

Correct on both counts. My SOC was about 56% and it was about 55* F outside. I did get the dotted yellow dashes on the energy graph intermittently, however. I did a complete power cycle / reboot and that seems to have taken care of the issue.

Dont Feel Break Regen as much

I just drove mine today and my regen is almost non-existent. I've got 2020 S Performance. I'm going to try rebooting it in a little to see if that alleviates it, if not, I'll have to put in a service call. Just basically coasts now...

    2024 Model X Update

Wonder if they're seriously contemplating pulling the plug on the S/X altogether, like they did with the RHD versions.

Planning to buy an used Model S (2021) & I need your help

As someone who just bought a 'pre-refresh' MSP from Tesla, I'm not entirely sure I'd agree with your last few sentences. For me, I was ready to pull the trigger on the 2023 MS LR, but after a few price hikes and reading about the nerfed acceleration, I decided to focus on a M3P. Though after...

Planning to buy an used Model S (2021) & I need your help

Just for reference, I just paid $62k for a 2020 S Performance directly from Tesla. 10K miles, 21" wheels, AP no FSD. I'd say you could probably do a bit better price-wise.

Chrome Delete & Tint in Central MD

Tried A Plus, but comms and info were hard to come by. Going with a shop in Westminster, MD.
  10. J

FYI: Tesla is physically disconnecting radar from 2021-2022 Plaid

Just for the refreshed S or is this something all S owners need to worry about?

    Price increase

A sudden surge of "demos" that are discounted heavily. All this price/incentive trickery is an attempt to prop up the share price. Not sure why they're doing it with the S/X when they're such low volumes compared to the 3/Y. Would seem way smarter to price them way more competitively and...

    Price increase

I doubt it'll make a dent in the sales. We'll find out at the end of next month.

    Price increase

Shockingly, another price HIKE on the S. Definitely confusing considering they're making way more than they are selling...

Chrome Delete & Tint in Central MD

Anyone have any recommendations for chrome delete and window tint with reasonable prices in or around Central MD? 2020 Model S if that matters.

    2020 MSP 20" Wheel/Tire Options (No Rub)

    What kind of wheels?

    2020 MSP 20" Wheel/Tire Options (No Rub)

I'm in the same boat, and from everything I've seen, the widest you can run in the rears is 285 and up front you MIGHT be able to get away with 255s, but you'll likely be rubbing in reverse, full-lock. check out this thread: Model S Aftermarket Wheel Fitment/Offset Discussion

2020 Model S with BMW wheels including range impact

Thread resurrection! I'm looking at Apex VS-5RS wheels in F80 size (19x9 ET30, 19x10 ET40) for my incoming 2020 MSP. I'm assuming since these are basically replicas of the BMW 763M and in the same spec as the 437Ms, they'll fit with 245/45/19 and 275/40/19 rubber?
  18. J

    Price increase

Incredibly dumb. General consensus was that there was at least another $5K to cut to make it competitive with other options coming to market.
  19. J

    Another price drop

Based on last quarter, folks that have a bit of patience might be able to snag low-mile demo MS LRs in the $80K range if they wait til mid June. Analysts slammed them on S/X deliveries, you gotta figure they'd try to pump those numbers up.

What is the re-sale value of plaids?

I've been watching websites like that... sometimes Tesla removes like 200+ vehicles at a time.. One minute there were 400 total S's, an hour later 150.. Some must be taken off and put back at different times.
  21. J

What is the re-sale value of plaids?

I mean, Tesla has stated the focus has been mostly on cutting costs. If you look at the macro market, this seems to be their strategy to combat competition. Not innovation, not design... price cuts. Still with massive margin on each vehicle sold, there's plenty of prices to cut when competition...

    another $5k drop

Was that a statement or a question?
  23. J

    another $5k drop

Which advisor did you work with? I'm not getting anywhere with getting an additional $5K off. They keep claiming that discount was already in the "market adjustment" for the demo version, which I'm not really buying. I just want the same market adjustment I was getting, just on the new price...
  24. J

    another $5k drop

So they're not giving me an additional $5000 off. My original price was $100,990 with an adjustment of $14630 for a price of $86130 before destination. They're claiming the adjustment is inclusive of the new price drop. Not sure if I should be annoyed or just go with it.

    another $5k drop

That's great considering I was in Silver Spring just last week, as well. I'm currently in a holding pattern as I ordered a car from PA, and was told in-person it'd be no big deal to have it brought down to MD (might have to pay a transport fee). Low and behold yesterday, they said that Tesla has...

    another $5k drop

In the same boat, but I doubt they'll drop existing demo orders by $5000. In fact, they raised some of the demo prices in my area by a few hundred dollars. Technically, still getting deal, but one that's been halved for sure.
