So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

I'm hoping that my skepticism will be proven wrong and I won't have to say "I told you so" if two more months go by without autopark working. Or, are you going to say to me, "You've only had the car for three months, why are you so upset?" I'm curious, in your opinion, how many months of...

Is the recall over? Should I assume 11.3.15 is going to first time FSDb cars?

There seems to be a discrepancy: According to TeslaFi, around 5500 registered cars have some form of FSDb, with about 4000 of them currently on version 11.1.x and the remaining 1500 on older FSDb versions. The issue is that recall rules require all older FSDb cars to be upgraded to the fixed...

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

The problem lies in the fact that the 2023 contract specifies the inclusion of "autopark," even though currently 99% of 2023 vehicles do not have it due to the absence of USS and the lack of deployment of Tesla vision in the majority of 2023 cars. The contract does have a small clause...

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

Disclaimer or not I'm struggling to understand why Elon Musk can make promises repeatedly and not face significant consequences when he fails to deliver on them. It's frustrating to me that more people are not outraged by this lack of accountability. In my view, Musk should apologize for every...

Is the recall over? Should I assume 11.3.15 is going to first time FSDb cars?

I have noticed on TeslaFi that some newly purchased cars without FSDb have been upgraded to FSDb, that is 11.3.5 Is it reasonable to infer from this that the recall has concluded and that Elon Musk's statement, "FSDb is available to anyone who requests it," is being fulfilled?

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

Dewg, how would you answer the question below: #a, #b or #c? Given the recent steep increase of FSD cost: (a) If a customer requests access to FSDb from Tesla and the company is either unwilling or unable to provide access to FSDb within one month of the request, then they should refund the...

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

On the other hand I hear the horror stories that in the past people waited over a year to get access to FSDb, although they paid for FSD whatever the price was at that time. So, you are telling me that was in the past and now it’s different?

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

Would you consider it unreasonable Tesla guarantee access to FSDb to anyone who paid the newly substantially increased price for FSD?

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

Well, after reading more and using the info provided in this thread there is no much confusion left - as far as FSDb. Legally speaking they are allowed to give you nothing on FSDb. It’s kickstarter for $9k as others said. Autopark and summon on the other hand have a binding clause (aka...

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

Thank you all for the info. Summarizing here for the benefit of others reading: (1) there is a small print in the contract, that I did not see, saying “you are taking delivery of car that has auto-park temporary disabled”. I actually did not know since I have a Volvo that does autopark, so I...

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

So why is this considered normality for Tesla? With any other car manufacturer if a feature stops working they are required to fix it under warranty? I’m referring to non Beta features.

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

I see. Don’t remember such a note, but I’ll look for it. It should be in all the stuff I signed. The definition of “temporary” matters. Also in my state in particular if a new car stays in shop for repairs more then 30 days for a manufacturing defect it’s considered a lemon and they have to...

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

Yes, but for me autopark does not work at all, I’m not talking that is working and it’s bad, it just does not work at all. Why a feature listed in the contract (like auto-park) and not working at all, is not considered a manufacturing defect they need to fix under warranty, like any other car...

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

I have a 2023 version and I bought it with enhanced autopilot factory installed, in Mar 2023 I expected, if it have enhanced autopilot factory installed, would just work the moment I drive it out off the lot. How could Tesla say “ pay me 6k for enhanced autopilot that includes autopark” and...

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

I’m not talking about the feature being good or bad, since that is relative, I’m talking about not getting the feature at all, eg autopark

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

Maybe I’m missing something. Let’s take for example autopark, a feature the contract says firmly “it’s included” and I tested this morning and it’s not there. Note the contract for autopark does not say “upcoming feature”, rather “included” Copy/paste from the contract: “Enhanced Autopilot...

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

I am confused about the current situation with Tesla's enhanced autopilot and full self-driving (FSDb) features. It seems hundreds of thousands of customers are paying for these features, only to later find out that there is no available version to upgrade their car to. E.g. some versions of...

Availability of 2022.45.11 containing FSD 11.3.2

Availability of 2022.45.11 containing FSD 11.3.2

So basically, Tesla should feed its fancy neural network with the latest state-specific traffic laws and adjust its driving accordingly based on GPS location. Kinda like what a human driver would do - knowing the rules that are different in each state. Or, Tesla could play it super safe and...

Availability of 2022.45.11 containing FSD 11.3.2

Z It appears that way. I was attempting to identify any trends on TeslaFi and it appears that when it comes to first-time Full Self-Driving (FSD) installations, they prioritize individuals who have had FSD previously. However, I was unable to determine how many upgrades from FSD to FSD...

Availability of 2022.45.11 containing FSD 11.3.2

Looking at this particular upgrade it appears it is going much slower than others. From the various charts in TeslaFi, on past FSD upgrades, the pattern is approx 3000 cars upgraded in first 3 days (that is cars registered with TeslaFi). With this particular upgrade it’s at only 600 of the...

Availability of 2022.45.11 containing FSD 11.3.2

I’m unclear why it takes that long to roll it out. In todays day and age even 1M simultaneous downloads it’s nothing. Many online services do few hundreds million request per second routinely :-(

Availability of 2022.45.11 containing FSD 11.3.2

Is it safe to assume that 2022.45.11 that contains 11.3.2 will be made available to all who requested participation in the Beta? TeslaFi indicated close to 400 got this version as of yesterday. Is that an indication already is it rolled out to all? If not what is the threshold? I see cars with...

I can’t get NOA to engage

Thanks for sharing the information. My car currently has version 2022.44.200 installed and hasn't received any automatic updates so far. I don't think there's a way to manually update to a specific version. Or is there? However, I have requested the beta and it's showing that I'm in the queue...

I can’t get NOA to engage

You are right, I was mixing the terms. So, I did buy the $15k package. I’m looking for “auto steer” on city streets. Meaning I put a destination and it will drive, turn, stop etc end to end, city and highway. I was under the impression than once you buy the $15k you get access right away to...

I can’t get NOA to engage

I bought a model 3 a week ago and bought the full FSD. I put the destination in the navigation, push down twice the right level, but could not gotten to date the NOA to show up. I can get the highways autopilot, that shows as two blue lines at the edges of the lane, can change lines, does stop...
