Here's what my 85D (P70XXX, built sometime in late Feb / early March), reported tonight (v6.2 2.4.236):

Took delivery on my MS 85D on March 16th and just got my registration documents back from Tesla today. Interestingly, the Tesla Certificate of Origin lists the 85D as a 394 HP vehicle, not 376 HP, as the website states.

Why do you say that? Tesla has been pretty conservative on 0-60 times, but most (granted, empirical) evidence has shown the P85D to be between 3.0 and 3.2 seconds. Perhaps a software update will improve that, but I haven't seen any 2.x range times yet. If you have, I'd love to see them!

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried to SSL VPN via the Tesla browser? Mine doesn't come until Monday, so I haven't had an opportunity to try.

Yeah, it's a known issue. From my understanding, iOS devices "rotate" the image with metadata stored with the image, without actually rotating the image itself. So, when the image gets posted somewhere that doesn't recognize the metadata, the picture doesn't get rotated.

Between the 8 year battery warranty, battery swap (hopefully), and battery upgrades (similar to Roadster 3.0), I would see an 8 year old Tesla being quite reliable/desirable/valuable compared to an ICE equivalent.

That's my concern as well. I have very good mortgage and revolving credit history and ~800 credit score, but have never had an auto/student/home equity loan.

Mind if you share your credit score? I'm assuming somewhere in the 800s? I noticed that EFCU requires 780 for "their best rate", which looks to be 1.01% on a 72-month (including the 1% EV discount).

With the standard 19" rims, I'd venture to say this is a S60 (most likely) or S85. Not sure why you'd need S85D/P85(+)/P85D on a patrol vehicle.

I looked through the eligibility requirements and there seems to me something called the "Tesla Loan Referral (FCS)". Is this how you qualified as a member of Alliant?

Wow! That's not too bad! I do wonder what the benefit will be on D-models, considering the expected decrease in rear tire wear. Perhaps still beneficial, but will likely take longer to pay for itself.

Great eye! Looking at them side-by-side, I've also noticed that perhaps the D version's frunk has more vertical depth? The "shoulders" (if you will), seem to be steeper on the D version and the back wall also seems to be taller. (Forgive the MS-Paint job)

You're probably right. However, I'm hoping that Tesla is thinking more long term and planing on phasing out the 60 kWh packs. While the 60 kWh packs are less dense/heavy than the 85 kWh packs, they occupy the same volume, due to the empty space within the pack. I hope that Tesla eventually...

This seems a more realistic to me. The range calculator on the Tesla website estimates 240 miles @ 70 mph on the 85 kWh battery with 19" wheels @ 70F without the heat on (thus, approximately 354 wh/mi). Granted, the actual mh/mi is truthfully lower, as you have to account for the ~10%...

I'm wondering this myself. My original MS85 was to be delivered this month, but I pushed it out for a MS85D. Decatur is a bit more convenient than Marietta, coming from Gwinnett.

Thanks for the heads up! The Lenox/Decatur locations are a bit more convenient than Marietta, coming from Gwinnett (Duluth). I'm actually a bit disappointed that Tesla didn't establish a location in the Buford / Mall of Georgia area. It would attract a lot of folks on the NE side of town...

While I agree, the head/neck support wasn't excellent. I'd prefer the larger/taller headrests (with rear-view camera), over the smaller ones.

Definitely concur with the falling damage theory. Furthermore, the big dent on the rear right portion of the roof would not have happened in any sort of collision that I am aware of. Same with the driver's side door "pinching" outwards. Possibly a tree fell on top of it, with the tree trunk...
