I finally checked this morning and mine's 4D1 also! Even though my VIN is 7SAYGDEE (ending in E not F). Thanks for the information so I was motivated to look, it's nice to know just cause I've watched some videos about the 4D1 and it's some cool tech in there.

April 2023 Austin Build LR, 7SAYGDEEXPA099XXX, 4D1 Motor Looks like the GDEE part of the VIN doesn't tell you whether you got the 4D1 or not, I thought it had to end in F for it to be 4D1 but clearly not anymore.

Plaid cost me $0. The price on my MVPA was exactly what got debited from my bank. Of course, at the price of a MY the difference between $0 and $8 is about 1/100 of 1% so I suppose you should do whatever you prefer hahaha cause it doesn't matter.

I had looked at that before, but thought only the ones with an F in pos 8 got 4D1 motors. That's what I had read anyway. Appears like that is no longer true thanks to @zroger73 going to look at his and confirming an E in pos 8.

That's a great article. Never really thought about that but it makes SO much sense! You can sell a car on a razor thin margin if you plan to soak the customer for 10x that margin on service over the next X years.

I don't really know, but I'm taking delivery tomorrow and using plaid (pay via the app). Today I clicked the button in the app to add an account, then selected my bank. It took me into my bank's app and the bank made it clear that it was not sharing my username/password with Plaid (or Tesla)...

I think insurance just cares about the VIN, don't they? Once you give them a VIN they can generate a policy on it. At least GEICO doesn't care about your plates or anything, they just want a VIN though Tesla insurance was cheaper for me so I am giving them a try.

That's exactly the right attitude. You could spend your life waiting for the next big thing, or the next deal, or you could just enjoy your toys now and buy new ones later :) I'm taking delivery in a few days, am super stoked about it, and have no intention of worrying about subsequent price...

I got an email, and the PDF shows updated price. Also when I look in the app at the financing section (cash) it shows the updated price too. The long running cron job sounds about right though. I saw some people said it updated on the app for them but not in the email.

I'd start the hold so it ends when you know you'll be back. Then I'd hope no one wants my car, and the day before getting home I'd see if it's still in inventory at your delivery center and then ask them to assign it back to me?

Finally got delivery text today. Of course the window is overlapping the only trip I'll have taken since I ordered this thing :rolleyes: But at this point, I'll cut the trip down to a week as I don't want to go back in the queue lotto system. Still, glad to feel like I'm in the home stretch.
