I'd reach out to your SA first.I wonder if we should pay before taking delivery.. kind of hate to pay for something sight unseen but for an extra $2k....
Let's hope you will get Tesla before May 1st.I wonder if we should pay before taking delivery.. kind of hate to pay for something sight unseen but for an extra $2k....
If you pay in advance that does not mean you accept the vehicle right? That seems to be a separate thing.Let's hope you will get Tesla before May 1st.
I think insurance just cares about the VIN, don't they? Once you give them a VIN they can generate a policy on it. At least GEICO doesn't care about your plates or anything, they just want a VIN though Tesla insurance was cheaper for me so I am giving them a try.How does this insurance proof work? How can I add a car I do not own to my policy?
I'm not sure. How do you back out of a car you already bought? If you pay in advance that does not mean you accept the vehicle right? That seems to be a separate thing.
Then I'd be paying for insurance on a car I don't own yet. Plus I believe they need the purchase agreement and loan info for the policy.I think insurance just cares about the VIN, don't they? It looks like Tesla management sorted out all issues with NJ Charge up. Not sure May 1st is a real deadline. They probably reserved funds this time for all cars before the 17th. More than $3.5M still available. Available Funding | Charge Up New JerseyIf you pay in advance that does not mean you accept the vehicle right? That seems to be a separate thing.
I dunno but "Final Payment" and "Accept" are 2 different steps in the process.. "Accept" being the final step.I'm not sure. How do you back out of a car you already bought?
I wouldn't worry about insurance yet. I just uploaded my current insurance card and they accepted. I will add Tesla during the pickup day. Then I'd be paying for insurance on a car I don't own yet. Plus I believe they need the purchase agreement and loan info for the policy.

My order agreement has not changed yet. I only noticed this when I looked at applying for a loan.It looks like Tesla management sorted out all issues with NJ Charge up. Seriously. NJ is hooking them up big time. You'd think with the battery gigafactory in NV we'd get something. Probably they're like "You pay no state income tax. You'll be fine. Suck it up."You lucky guys! You don’t have sales tax, have tax rebate and also charger installation rebates! Enjoy!
I can see $2K discount under completed tasks on web and in app as well.My order agreement has not changed yet. I only noticed this when I looked at applying for a loan.
Let's hope we all get it.
Tesla asked me a day prior to upload insurance with a new VIN.I wouldn't worry about insurance yet. I just uploaded my current insurance card and they accepted. I will add Tesla during the pickup day.
Any curb protection? Those are directional wheel covers, and you didn't put them on correctly. Front is different than rear on your car.
Not sure how esurance works, but mine is progressive and told the agent to give me a quote for MYLR that I will be picking up next week. The quote should have your vin and that could be your proof of insurance? Also, I would shop around if I were you. If you have paid in advance with your current insurance and break your policy in the middle, they will typically prorate the fee and get you a refund.Interesting.
I have that as well. I had to change back to cash payment to see it. I guess Tesla may have worked it out or figured it out.
