First time buyer looking for advice: Used M3P

Why not get a newer (2021+) long-range for about the same price and just buy acceleration boost. I don't think buying a $44k car with no warranty is a great idea, and you miss out on a lot of the newer model year features (CPU, double pane glass, newer interior, better fit/finish). If you buy...

    Canada Waiting Room

Well, I was expecting it to come here, but I looked around and I see it does say Tacoma now... Odd.

    FSD Beta v11.x

I would love that. I can basically drive home from work in the same lane, excluding my driveway, but FSD loves changing lanes for no reason several times in the same places, even with minimal lane changes on.

    Canada Waiting Room

I would assume that means it'll be close by, but not docked and tied up immediately.

    Canada Waiting Room

Not sure how AIS works. However, looks like the MM will be working at the end of next week.

    Canada Waiting Room

I gotta admire your tracking skills here haha!
  7. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

We are back on strike, the deal that was offered was no good so they better come to the table with something better.
  8. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

I wouldn't bother going. You're going to see a parking lot full of cars behind security lol. And I highly doubt anyone there would know anything like that.
  9. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

Yeah, that's a bit outside of my area of knowledge too (400 miles outside it, lol)
  10. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

I don't know anything about trucks. Only ships haha.
  11. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

Not a clue in the world, sorry.
  12. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

Looks like it worked the day and night shift both. Other than that I have no clue more than what you all know.
  13. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

8:00am morning shift is what I can see.
  14. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

I have zero clue how that works, unfortunately. Tesla would most likely know that however, I would imagine?
  15. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

Nah it's ok! This is all publically available information haha. As far as I can see, that ship looks like it's quite far away.
  16. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

Yeah, I just checked, it's being worked on the day shift tomorrow. The only thing I could think of, is that the cars need to be loaded onto trucks to be delivered to a service center, and then I believe they get a final inspection. I'm not entirely sure if the trucking companies will grab them...

    Canada Waiting Room

Ship leaves the sandheads at 9pm tonight, docks at 3am in Richmond, works throughout the day, then it leaves there at midnight tomorrow.
  18. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

They're like 10 min apart from each other haha. Doubt that makes any difference honestly.
  19. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

Hahaha no worries. But as someone commented before, looks like it's being brought in earlier now, good news for you all!
  20. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

That's just car ships, there are also cruise ships, container ships, tankers, bulk carriers and such to bring in/out too. Only so many harbour pilots and tugboats available at the same time, and also you need room in the waterways to navigate them.
  21. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

Exactly, everything is subject to change, and due to the situation, I bet there is a lot of organizing about when to bring in each ship right now.
  22. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

The dayshift starts at 8am, and the ship won't be there by then, so they won't order a morning crew.
  23. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

This would be my best guess.
  24. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

Exactly this haha. Gotta keep in mind too that navigating a big ship down the Fraser is no easy task.
  25. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

No worries! I couldn't sleep due to excitement the night before I picked up my Tesla, so I know the feeling haha.
  26. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

Looks like 830 tomorrow morning it departs from anchorage.
  27. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

That's right. They're bringing it over at 830 am from the anchorage so my best guess is that it'll be unloaded tomorrow afternoon shift.
  28. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

Yeah, that's way above my pay grade haha.
  29. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

Not really a clue, I don't work on the car ships, you can check the pacific pilotage website however which shows you when ships are being brought in/anchored/etc. https://ppaportal.portlink.co/marine-traffic
  30. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

That I honestly have no idea. I don't work at the car terminals myself.
  31. 6

    Canada Waiting Room

The deal won't be ratified until we vote on it, but we are back to work in the meantime. There are jobs ordered for the afternoon shift today already, so it'll ramp up here quickly if I'm guessing. It might take a shift or two to bring in all the ships though. Looks like everything is anchored...

    Canada Waiting Room

I work at the Port, we are back this afternoon.

Finally drove a Model Y…it was incredible!!

Everything except the standard range Model Y RWD. That thing is just slow lol (6.9 seconds 0-60)
  34. 6

Was there ever a discount on the acceleration boost, or was it always $2,000?

Why in the world would you need the plaid to have a boost option? Unless you randomly run into like a Rimac or something, you're going to be faster than them haha.

    Still on 2023.2.12...

2023.2.12 isn't an FSD branch. That's why the car didn't have FSD Beta until last night.
  36. 6

    Still on 2023.2.12...

I bought mine used from Tesla and didn't even realize it had FSD for a whole week after taking delivery lol. Nice surprise for sure.
  37. 6

    Still on 2023.2.12...

My car came with FSD (used from Tesla inventory cars in Canada all get FSD usually)
  38. 6

    Still on 2023.2.12...

Same as me last night. Happy to get the newer software as well as FSD. I do wish it was 11.4 though, but I'm just glad to get off of 2023.2.12 finally lol.
  39. 6

FSD Beta on 2023.12.* - when?

As SOON as the software was installed I was able to use FSD Beta, the toggle was active right away.
  40. 6

FSD Beta on 2023.12.* - when?

Yeah, that's right. I've had the car for 2 months now, already driven about 3500 miles without FSD Beta due to me having 2023.2.12, and usually use autopilot on my way home from work on the highway. Keep in mind my car was used from Tesla, and in Canada almost every used car from them directly...
  41. 6

FSD Beta on 2023.12.* - when?

I had 2023.2.12 prior to tonight (2023.12.10) I now have FSD beta 11.3.6
  42. 6

    FSD Beta v11.x

Yeah, but 2023.7.5 isn't available to the general public. Pretty sure it was "influencers" and staff only. I also don't think 11.4.1 is going to be released to the public, 11.4.2 might be, but that might be on a 2023.12 software release. Either way I'm not too concerned, I was stuck on...
  43. 6

FSD Beta on 2023.12.* - when?

I purchased my car used from Tesla 3 months ago, and all used Teslas in Canada come with FSD. So I've just been waiting for a software update since I bought it. Just took it for a drive now, and sure enough it has FSD. I was expecting it to be a lot better than it was though, I had to takeover...

    FSD Beta v11.x

I just got the 2023.12.10 notification a few hours ago, installing now. Wonder if this means a whole lot of people are gonna get 11.4.2 soon, or if it means that it will be delayed again.
  45. 6

FSD Beta on 2023.12.* - when?

Just got the notification for 2023.12.10 about 2 hours ago, which strangely includes FSD Beta 11.3.6. Looks like Tesla wanted to push it out to people who have been waiting for a while to enable FSD Beta. I guess we will get 11.4 fairly soon then on a newer update. Funny enough, I didn't think I...
  46. 6

    Still on 2023.2.12...

I don't even have the newest nav update yet, hoping that comes soon.

Pic of your Model 3.......RIGHT NOW! [model 3 pictures thread]

I don't even like the blue very much, and this is one of the nicest TM3's I've ever seen. Doesn't hurt I've had BBS's on many of my old VW's in the past.
  48. 6

    Still on 2023.2.12...

Still nothing here... I have FSD, but haven't enrolled in the Beta yet, is that something that is holding me back a software update?

    Supercharger - Coquitlam, BC

Also, the other Coquitlam Superchargers are busy almost always. It definitely wouldn't be a bad idea to have another somewhat in the area.

What are we expecting to happen price-wise on Model 3 in Canada?

Oh wow, just saw that now. Gonna be honest though, I don't think I would bother for $55k even though I think I will upgrade to a Model Y in a few years. Wonder if the MY RWD has an LFP battery? That 5k incentive on a LR is quite nice though, I hope Tesla does a price drop here like they did in...
