I returned my NSW registration form to Tesla over a month ago. So now the car is just listed in my account and shows the plate no.

If anyone's curious about timing here in Sydney: - pickup scheduled 28th (sorry for those who have to wait 😭, GE gang) - car registration showed up in Service NSW today 25th so I can now sort my insurance properly with the final plate.

I think some people have previously received vague "Your delivery is coming soon!" SMS'es which are basically unactionable, but effectively mean Tesla has your vehicle / it's been delivered off the vessel. So I think that's what they're asking about. Then followed up by the booking SMS, later.

I'd call that "start unloading in the morning" even though the boat might go in at 23:00. I think that totally makes sense.

I still don't have a VIN for my order in April (4/4, LR launch date), which still says "May - Jun". I do have a VIN for my Inventory order a month later. Honestly if Tesla haven't assigned you a VIN I wouldn't get your hopes up. Chase them up / look at inventory for a similar model.

Ah, this got updated since it's not a holiday in QLD today. We in NSW just have to wait a day to see if anything is happening re: the schedule. Boats seem to have moved today, though.

FWIW the Brisbane port schedule PDF seems pretty adamant that Grand Eagle will dock on the 18th. That's what uncongested ports look like, I think. So hoping the 14th for Sydney is good (it's only Euphrates Highway unloading over the weekend), leave 16th, up to Brisbane for all y'all.

No. Melb people are 2-3 weeks from docking. Can't imagine PK is better.

The car docks are fungible, surely. FWIW, it's only "two" days delayed, as the AAT doc makes it pretty clear nothing happens on King's Birthday. Also highly amused at the increasing number of folks showing up with the 18/05 RAV date trying to determine the cause of the holdup 😂

You're getting a RWD right? What was the boat your car was on and when did it moor - might help understand delay from Port Kembla to Sydney pickups.

For PK, looking at last week's unloading schedule, e.g., Viking Passima took 6 days to actually unload. This week's schedule is so much more optimistic than that. Why? Who knows. Maybe PK was understaffed, or some boats are very full, or cars are being held up in quarantine, etc. I'll be...

The dates not on exact hours tend to be the most wrong versus the source PDF. I wonder if they're adding seconds as milliseconds or something to end up with the invalid values.

What date (if any) was the VIN entered into RAV? If it's 18/05, it's probably on Grand Eagle. Other dates mean different things, but all correspond when certain boats first berthed anywhere in Australia.

I don't even care versus sensors. You could ask for close ups of the cameras though.

RAV of 18/05 is fairly confidently Grand Eagle in Melbourne at this point. It's now outside Port Kembla with massive delays, seems like everyone with assigned MYLRs is waiting on it.

Grand Eagle delayed again in Sydney/PK, Saturday 10th. It's currently being delayed at a rate of >1 day per day.

The first port of call in Australia for Grand Eagle was Melbourne on the 18th. Cars are entered in RAV at their first port of call, so if your VIN's Date of Entry is 18/05/2023, it's very likely on that boat. (I presume others have deduced different vessels from alternative dates.)

Send us some photos while we wait for the boats at PK. (I feel even worse for those who are in Melb or Brisbane but are also blocked by the Sydney delays!)

My EDD is now (as of Sunday 28th) for MYLR likely on Grand Eagle in SYD: June 12 - June 30 Which matches everyone else.

The Grand Eagle / Port Kembla mess is getting worse - yes, no way it was getting unloaded earlier. There's 14 boats for that specific port, which kind of lines up, a bit less than ~24 hours per stay for earlier ones. As of today:

There's so many ships waiting to dock at Port Kembla, many which have been there for ages. Their site is back to the 31st for Grand Eagle.

Is there a way to tell build date in NSW _without_ RAV lookup (not there yet), but I have the VIN / NSW Rego form? The "Compliance Date" in the rego form is blank. Can't really see anything useful in the page source.

The LR I "bought now" just this morning, once I finished the order (and got my VIN etc), has an EDD of May 26 - June 16, which is probably the same as your order. So yours is probably already allocated from the same batch. I can't imagine you'll get it any sooner.

FWIW, called Tesla sales this morning about my MYLR order and USS - they said (rough quote) "I don't believe the Gigafactory has changed the cars for AU/NZ, even though obviously in the US the change has shipped" when asked if USS is gone on any new cars. They also weren't pressed on any MYLR...

Out of curiosity, what was your car's build date and does it still have USS (ultrasonics) on it? Despite Shanghai builds not all not including sensors it seems like AU has still been getting them. I have a completely unfounded hunch that maybe the Y was 'certified' in AU with them so they stay.
