I'm still on .251. Does this mean when 7 comes out, ill have to first wait for .253, then .21 and then 7? Or usually will they just push 7 out?

CPO has created some real buying dilemmas

When I said graceful, I did not preclude the possibility of alerting the driver. In fact graceful would definitely include alerting the driver. In fact, the alert may even include a vibration in the steering for deaf drivers? I don't know. Anyway let's see what Tesla does.

But people do make stupid purchase decisions based on the immediate gas price. Sales of SUVs, Light Trucks Soar on Low Gas Prices - DailyFinance Do I subscribe to that? No! Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

You could also argue that someone who wants a bare bones car, won't spend 70K in the first place. I guess there is no way to prove this. We have to duke it over a coffee! But look you said 70K. Not 49K. I win!
  10. kuttakamina

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

Remember Elon said Model S would start at 49K. S40 bare bones was 49K, but in reality it is a 100K car for most of us. Time will tell what the real street price of Model 3 will be. But it'll be higher than 35K.

Tesla Experts - Help me. Someone wants to trade my A7 with their Tesla. Should I?

    Totally do it! A7 > S40. Sell the A7, and buy a 70D or S85 CPO. :D

How Much Would You Pay for a Premium Interior?

How Much Would You Pay for a Premium Interior?

Besides the current 'premium interior', which costs 3K, I'd like to, - Have heated and cooled seats, and heated and cooled drink holders - Massaging seats - Better quality leather (padded and perforated) - Better steering wheel (wooden perhaps and heated) - Better interior lighting. -...

I don't think we are referring to "Model S" as the entire picture. We are talking about the next 5 years, which is S, 3, and X. The 3 is critical to Tesla's future, and yes that will get affected negatively by $2 gas.

CPO has created some real buying dilemmas

Yes personal experience. We got our cars at apprx the same time - and we have only tried them in summer. My garage is heated. I've seen this behavior spot on, if it is cooler outside (65 degrees), when I go from my garage to outside, the condensation screws up TACC. I think its like you get...

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

Tesla, so far, has maintained it's head above the water due to, a) Technological superiority Tesla so far is still 'production constrained', but a lot of that is tied to their advertised technological superiority, a.k.a. Autopilot, which they have not rolled out yet. And certainly the margin...

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

Past performance is no guarantee of future results. The 2016 Volt is a LOT better than the 2014 Volt. And if the Bolt comes out in 2017, Tesla is in trouble. Given their habit of stretchable elon standard time, they won't bring Model 3 to the market until 2020. I don't like government motors...

CPO has created some real buying dilemmas

I assume the 2014P85 does not have autopilot hardware. If it does, the 2014P85 may be a fantastic purchase... besides that .. My suggestion: If you can, wait for the Autopilot rollout, delay your purchase - especially if Autopilot is important to you. Ask Tesla, as a potential customer when...

    Spare lay flat tire

I may have misunderstood what "lay flat" means .. but 90D's trunk is too small to hold a fullsize spare. I keep the Tesla emergency tire repair kit in the trunk. Disadvantage - if you ever slime fill the tire, you need to buy a new tire. Advantage - you can air up the tires at home.

+1 to what spidy said. I don't want a refund, I want the functionality. Autopilot was the prime decider between mb or tesla for me. If they want to issue a refund, I would like the entire cost, including sales tax, accessories purchased, plug installation refunded. I know that's not happening...

The world isn't you or I. Whether you like it or not, more volts will sell than Tesla. People vote with their $'s, and the way Tesla has handled Autopilot isn't helping. Also there are more McDonalds than there are Hyatt restaurants.

Honda's solution as of today, is better than Tesla's non-existent solution. I'm really really hoping that we see Autopilot from Tesla roll out by Aug 4, and beat the pants off of MB's solution. That would be nice!

Meh, skip LED headlights and go right to laser!

FWIW, I test drove the Acura with LED headlights. Other than the "new technology factor", I think Tesla's headlights look much much prettier, and they actually work better (brighter) than LED. Also, switching from Xenon to LED is going to make zero difference to range. Also someone did spot a...

Buying a Tesla for all the wrong reasons?!

AMEN! One of the many reasons people prefer Tesla over car salesmen is because they are supposedly more trustable. Tesla needs to maintain the higher ground. Near annual replacement of 12V battery is typical according to Tesla Service Tech

Only 4 year warranty I think. And replacing the battery is ridiculously complicated. You have to take half the car apart. The only other car I know that has such bad design were saturns. But their batteries lasted years and labor was cheaper. Most other cars you can replace the battery yourself...
