I think people do in fact use those holes to insert the tubing, although I didn't realize that at the time. I split it right at the seam in the middle top of the seal. I might go in and glue it back together at some point, just to be safe that no water will get in.

Less than 1000 miles. I put a fan under the seat with it in the sun, and the error went away. I'm hoping that means this will be the last of it, with no lasting issues.

$2500 for a seat sensor, ouch. Seems like a waste of resources to replace the entire thing. Hopefully it'll dry out, I'll throw a fan under the seat to help dry it out.
