OK - it works perfectly - after I have to manually switch wifi back on? Otherwise turns on & off seamlessly. Anyone with a solution to making sure the wifi on the Y switches on auto? 🤔

OK tried it again @GreyFoggyDay with no luck on the open at home - and I think it's because the Y deactivates wifi when it's in sleep mode? Can the app re-engage wifi or is that a manual task for the touch screen? When the car was on charger and I went down the street & came back it worked...

Hi @GreyFoggyDay - tried it out tonight- the off automation worked perfectly, the on one not at all but that’s because I suspect when iOS updates it auto shuts down hotspot and you have to manually re-engage it again. Am going to have another go later :)

Checked this out and also applies to NSW - head to ServiceNSW - and ofc there’s a blood-sucking fee :rolleyes:

Westfield Miranda NSW is defin dead, so please don’t count it being a chargepoint in your travels. There is a Tesla wall charger there but it’s in ther Valet and they will charge you $15 to use it.

Ok I’ll give that a go tonight and see how it goes. I note that if you don’t plug in and it sleeps, it deactivates wifi. See if this wakes it up :)

Yes! In NSW having the same issues - not necessarily due to some alleged “fire risk” (which is baloney?) but from Strata Management companies with power trips.

Not surprised. The NSW incentives weren’t that penetrating and all went to the wrong places (even the stamp duty incentive cut out at $85K - which meant most EV’s didn’t get it until the last 6 months or so). 90% of non-house dwellings, i.e. Units/Apartments etc, are not willing to be EV ready...

Yep - but I read on Telsa that there is an option to add the hotspot while car is in drive and then select an option to keep it connected, so will try that first!

with the new software update you can change the speed - you just can’t turn them off :) (it gives you that warning in the wipers menu too).

makes sense! but yeah, zero chance of that grass growing. I thought it may have been to keep people from overflow parking there.
