Tax credit only works if the original MSRP when that VIN was produced is under $80k. Discounts afterwards will not help you. Also Tesla isn’t like a normal dealership they don’t swap parts of give on the spot discounts.

The 10th digit on your VIN is the production year. 2023 = P. No Tesla 2024's are out yet in the US but I think I saw 2024 should be R. Next letter would've been Q but I don't think Q is used on VINs.

I just went through it last week. It took like 2 days. And once conditionally approved they require a phone screen as well (very easy). After that it took them 2 days to approve auto loan.

Per Tesla website it will most likely not be $7500 anymore. The law dictates each year the percentage of battery material and part sourcing from the US increases each year and thus reducing the tax credit Tesla vehicles qualify for if they don’t meet those new targets.

Tesla leases are very restrictive. Cannot sell your lease to a third party, cannot buyout your car if you really like it. I usually lease but Tesla just takes out the flexibility that you normally can get on a typical lease.

No option for the MX will qualify for the tax credit other than the 5 seat, 20" and steering wheel. Also not everyone qualifies for the tax credit. Most people purchasing a MX won't meet the MAGI limits since the car is very expensive.

BMW and Mercedes aren’t the type of brands to do large widespread discounts in general. Tesla is still a small peanut to those two in terms of people cross-shopping luxury cars based on #s of their S/X deliveries each year.

Its system generated. The website now says Nov-Dec for all new orders. All of us that ordered very early Sept had Sept-Oct dates and once the website went to Oct-Nov we all got that same push to the new window if we didn't get a VIN yet. After a few days your original delivery window will come back.

It will eventually appear as you get closer to delivery date but you can always text Tesla and they can provide it to you quicker if you need it.

I was thinking the same lol. People thinking their FSD transfer being guaranteed when you ordered and the timeline said Sept-Oct means it’s not guaranteed your car will arrive by 9/30 for the transfer to work. Clear as day to me.
