Perhaps it was accidentally programmed in when the car was manufactured. That is probably the case if the option survives the next software update

Your experience is interesting. When I bought my 2014 Model S from a private party it took tesla less than a hour to do the ownership transfer.

I hate to say this... but I do think we need a class action lawsuit regarding this. Because it isn’t normal and a obvious defect. Even with that being said I still support Tesla 120%. I really believe Elon and the team are working on some many things they might not notice the small issues

It would be awesome if we could remotely disable our cars through the app. Regardless if someone has the fob. So it could be a temporary killswitch. So if you’re on vacation you can be positive your car would be safe.

I would take it to the Tesla store and ask them to look at that. When I had that issue and they took it out to investigate and it fixed itself. I'm out of warranty and they wanted $600. I politely declined and they put the handle back. When I picked up the car it worked!

I have had 3 loaners so far and wasn't given loaner access. The most time I spent with a loaner was 2 days however. I assume they typically don't because they have to link that vin to your account and it could possibly cause confusion

I’m currently in Georgia and am considering moving. So I called the local Tesla store about an overnight test drive with a AWD Model S. I’m scheduled Monday morning. I was curious has anyone received anything longer than a overnight test drive?

I have the same exact issue. Everything on the app works including keyless driving. But when the app says the car is unlocked the doors don’t do anything.
