    I will try this, thanks!

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Were you able to find a fix for it? Over rougher pavement, I hear a rattle now and again that feels like it's coming from that front dash. Curious if there's a DIY that I can do.

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Amazing breakdown - thanks for sharing! I wonder why they’re publishing 510 HP when it seems that it’s realistically 100+ more HP at peak power?

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

It might be worth getting it checked out at service. We've had like 10 cars with ventilated seats over the last 10-12 years (I have a problem lol), and the seats in the M3P are at/among the top of the list for me in terms of feeling the cooling effects. I've had the car less than a week, so it's...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Some people have complained about the ventilation in the seats - I think it’s pretty strong. Better than our Volvo that is my wife’s car, and a bit better than past Kias/Acuras we’ve had as well. I was skeptical of the climate system because of having to control everything through the screen...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

That seems reasonable to me. My 6 month premium is around $660 for the M3P, and I had to really work to find that rate with a legit company. Many others were 750-1000 for six months. Tesla insurance was $135 a month at a 90 score which would have been impossible to maintain in this car lol. For...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Violently fast is a good way to put it. Especially from a stop the 0-60 just makes you feel like your insides are in the backseat. I also agree about having to work to not hit 80+. You're there before you know it. My last car was "fast" by any estimation (4.6 0-60), but I've never experienced...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

This is so true. If the road is relatively smooth, 80 MPH feels like 40-50 MPH in my old car (Kia Stinger GT2). It is terrifyingly effortless to get close to triple digits. I've never driven a pre refresh M3P, but I will say this one continues to pull well above 60MPH, which people complained...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I think that's totally fair. I had a couple of friends with 2019 Model 3s and maybe I was overly harsh on those. I think my viewpoint of "crappy" might have been more centered around interior harshness and NVH, which I always felt was poor in earlier Tesla interiors, but my in laws have a brand...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Super exciting! Fwiw I got a VIN and my dates didn't move, but I was able to pick the car up 2 days after VIN receipt, so maybe you'll get lucky as well!
  11. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I think you'll be thrilled with the change overall. My gripe with model 3/Y over the years was the crappy interior and build quality, and I've been very happy with the interior of the refresh. Every single surface that I've been able to find in it is soft touch, which is a great change coming...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Nice - I had a 2022 GT2 in green for two years prior to selling it two months ago while I waited for the M3P. There are three things I really miss from that car so far - the adjustable side bolsters, the extending thigh cushion, and the HUD. The Stinger felt nice inside, but I much prefer the...
  13. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Yeah I had a Kia Stinger prior to this and I miss the HUD for sure. Speed, speed limit, blind spot, nav and other info right in the line of sight of the road was awesome.

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I like the interior lighting personally, I think it makes a cabin feel more upscale. Again, it's personal preference which is why I wish they'd just add a manual slider lol. I do agree about the heads up display. I do miss having that now that I've made the switch.
  15. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

IMO, no, it wouldn't. For others, it may, and they can choose to dim them or turn them off. If you've been in a newer Mercedes/BMW/Audi, they're littered with crazy bright LEDs, many with 3-4x the lighting the refreshed Tesla offers. Just give a slider for ambient lighting intensity, 0-10. That...
  16. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Kind of...Even at full display brightness, the LEDs are way too dim at night IMO. They're a decent level if you keep the interior light color wheel open, but that doesn't seem like a great solution. Just give people a slider and the choice to have it how they want it.

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

The sound system definitely gets loud lol. I am not sure how this happened but the volume was at or near 100% and I turned on music and it nearly deafened me 🤣 - despite the volume, it was shockingly clear for the 1 second it was on before I turned it down. Luckily the speakers are fine and my...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

You get options for On, Off, and Auto. Unless you have the ambient lighting menu open, the light is really dim at night. There isn’t an option for intensity. I would love for them to add one, because having the light menu open 100% of the time doesn’t feel ideal to me.
  19. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Ok I found one thing I really dislike - they’ve got to fix the ambient lighting at dusk/night. Once the headlights come on you can barely see the lights at all. I am hoping for that to be fixed in an update. I thought I’d hate the turn signals. I’ve already adjusted. Same with shifting. It’s...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Picked it up today - it really is what everyone says - crazy acceleration, great handling, looks awesome. It’s quiet and refined inside. Overall I love it. Alignment is good, which was a relief. I had a small scuff in the steering wheel, and a tiny bit of ambient light misalignment, mainly one...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

This all happened super fast. I got my VIN this morning, and was just able to schedule pickup for this Sunday! I am really excited and hope the pickup process goes smoothly!

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Got my VIN earlier this morning! Completed all my tasks and now just waiting for a delivery date. It's giving me a range of 6/21-6/30, so hopefully it's sooner than later! Order date: 5/3, SG/Blk, Oregon

You did a 10.79 1/4? Holy crap. Stock? Weight reductions at all? If that’s stock then holy hell.

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Seriously- I feel like Jay Gatsby staring at this thing.

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

We’ve got a plug in hybrid XC90, so I’ll be using it to charge that for now. EDD is still 6/26-6/30 so hopefully I don’t have to wait tooooo much longer.
  27. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Charger installed…now I just have to wait for the car lol
  28. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

We went down to 1 car as a family 6 weeks ago, and it's been fine overall, but annoying at times with schedules and kids, etc. I am still showing late June EDD, and figured when I ordered (5/2) late June would be around when I got it, but if it slips again into July/August as many have, I might...
  29. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason, but mine was June, July, then May 22-June 8 (15 days), then July 12-August 8th (4 weeks), now it's 6/26-6/30 (4 days). No VIN for me, so I'm fully expecting to be pushed out again, as many others seem to be.
  30. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Just noticed this within the app. There isn't a performance near me, but there's now a grey/black long range for $45K. I don't qualify for the tax credit so this is tempting, but I need to stay patient and hope my end of June EDD holds.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Some pretty awesome numbers from Reddit tonight. The old M3P did the 60-130 run in 11.4-11.5 seconds. This new one is shaving almost 2 seconds off that time, and seeing consistent 0-60s in the 2.9X ranges without rollout subtracted is impressive.
  32. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

It's awesome to start seeing these sub 11 runs in verified conditions.
  33. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I could be conflating, but I think the lowest 0-60 we've seen so far is like 2.78 with rollout subtracted, and 2.93 without rollout.
  34. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Crazy how much of a different 6 hundredths of a second feels lol. 11.03 vs. 10.97 feels like a world of difference, even though there's no perceptible difference in the real world.
  35. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Every black interior photo I see just makes me more and more glad I chose black. I love the look, and the Alcantara door inserts are *chefs kiss*
  36. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I can live with 8% on a lease but it's far from ideal. Not qualifying for the tax credit is frustrating in this specific case.
  37. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I had been pushed a week and a half ago to July 8th-August 12th. This morning I got updated to June 26-June 30th. Probably doesn't mean anything, but it's such a narrow window that I am wondering if they've got some shipments planned to my area (Oregon) in the coming weeks and expect mine to be...
  38. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Just changed to cash (I intend to lease) to see if it helps with a VIN assignment. It likely won’t, but why not. I haven’t done this before so hopefully it’s easy to change it back upon VIN assignment lol.
  39. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

I’m not a fan of any of his recent antics, and I’ve never loved the overly minimalist designs of the former 3/Y models, but I ordered a model 3 performance, which will be my first Tesla. This refreshed performance is so good that it forced me to separate the man from the machine. I imagine I’m...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Yeah the money factor is terrible. The only thing making me lease is that I don’t qualify for the tax credit on a purchase so at least with the lease they’re taking 7500 off the top which offsets the crap rate somewhat.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

11.032 is so tantalizingly close to the 10s… someone has to make it happen lol
  42. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

2.93 no rollout and 10.92 1/4 is super impressive. 9.3 60-130 is also really really impressive. Super excited to see more results from drag strips as we get them, but this is awesome.
  43. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Seems like EDDs are updating for a lot of people weekly based on when they ordered. I ordered on a Friday so I'm hopeful I see some update tomorrow. Last Friday I went from 5/22-6/8, to 7/8-8/12, so I'm hopeful if it does move that it doesn't get worse...

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Eugene, OR, here. Same exact window - July 8th - August 12th. A week and a half ago I was pulled into 5/22-6/8 and got really excited, so I'm hoping there's another pull in shortly, but trying not to get my hopes up.
  45. B

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

I agree. It's a personal preference obviously, but I prefer the steering feel, turn in, and overall handling of a staggered setup vs. that of a square setup. 235 up front feels like it should be enough tire, but maybe I'm missing something.
  46. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

Same. It's really fun to see an actual video review from an enthusiast/YouTuber. Makes me even more excited to get mine eventually.
  47. B

    Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous Waiting Room

3.04 0-60 on a gravely LA road is really impressive. He didn’t show the number with rollout subtracted, but it was probably 2.85 ish, so this car is beating Tesla’s speed claims. I am really looking forward to the first person to post times from a drag strip or similarly prepped surface. Would...

Got it. I can see that. Looks wise I like them but it seems many don’t.

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Am I alone in liking the stock Performance wheels? I thought they looked good enough in photos, but I really liked them in person…maybe it’s just me

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Ventilated seats universally work better when the car is in motion. When the HVAC is really going and the car is moving you’ll feel a huge difference. I’ve had ventilated seats in Kias, Acuras, and Volvos, and it’s been the same across the board. I expect it to be the same in the M3.
