    SSD Issues

I am not sure from your post if you know that the folder for the Tesla dashcam must be TeslaCam. The folder for the boombox must be Boombox. These folders cannot be in the same partition, so you need to create two partitions on your SSD and then create the folders, one per partition.

FSD Transfer One Time Offer - Is Elon just mocking us now?

Except that Tesla has stated on their support page that they will NOT remove FSD if the new car is sold privately in the future. Full Self-Driving Capability Transfers | Tesla Support

Living with the 16v LV battery

The current Model Y Owners Manual lists the signals on the trailer hitch wiring connector. Pin 4 is for low voltage power (i.e. 12v), but the manual on page 99 says this:

    Stuck at Firmware 2023.7.20

2023.7.20 has the most recently generally released version of the FSD beta stack (11.4.4). 2023.20.9 only has the older FSD 11.3.6. So you are still on 2023.7.20 so that your car is on the more recent FSD beta stack. You can see the releases and the associated FSD stack versions here: Vehicle...

    Software update issue

When this happened to me, I submitted a Service Request via the phone app and the next day someone at Tesla remotely reset something which resolved the problem.

    Sandy Munro interviews Elon Musk

One interesting tidbit from the interview is that Elon said that the new Model S and Model X cars will now come with a Li-Ion 12v battery that is expected to last as long as the main battery pack! No more needing to replace the 12v battery!

Any owners of Galaxy S20 FE 5G/Phone key reliability?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G and it has worked 100% for me since getting the phone. Does your Tesla app show "Connected" in the notifications?

    Disappointing Superchargers

I just got back from a trip, and I did NOT have any reduction in Supercharging rates during this trip in my Model 3. My car had 2019.32.12.2 code during the trip. Please note that there can be many reasons why you might be seeing lower than expected charging rates at a given Supercharger...

    New supercharger pricing

I paid 32 cents per kWh at the Ithaca, NY supercharger last week.

    Erwin NY Supercharger

No, I did not even think of that since I have never encountered broken superchargers before. I have now emailed Tesla at [email protected] though. Hopefully that helps.

    Erwin NY Supercharger

I used the Erwin (aka Painted Post) supercharger last week and I found that two of the pedestals were dead (no power), and a third one had a damaged end of the charging cable and was thus unusable. Is there a way to report this to Tesla?

    V9 39.7 - Dashcam not working

I think we need to pause recording 1 minute or more before getting out of the car. I think this is needed to allow time for the system to flush the last write data to the USB drive. This has been working for me flawlessly so far. Of course this should be fixed by Tesla though!

    V9 39.7 - Dashcam not working

I agree, I don't think a flush/unmount is happening on the USB drive before the power to it is dropped. I think this can cause the X on the camera ICON whenever the car "turns off" if the camera is currently recording. I think pausing the recording via the long press on the camera ICON before...

    V9 dashcam

My theory is that the USB drive is not being shutdown cleanly when the car powers off. I think that if it was writing to the USB drive during power off, then the next time the car turns on it will find the corrupted USB drive and display the X on the camera ICON. To avoid this, I have been...

    Integrated Dash Cam option?

Since the AP capable Tesla cars have forward and rear facing cameras, it seems like they have all of the necessary hardware to provide an integrated built-in dash cam that could record to a USB memory stick. I think this would be a very valuable feature / option given the sometimes poor driving...
