Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

Updated, I sold my Model S privately but it had such high mileage I don't think the fact it had free supercharging (that wasn't transferred to the Y) helped in the sale whatsoever. Kind of sucks I wasn't able to transfer it to the Y. Given how much I got for my Model S and the fact that I was...

Is the Model S worth it over the Highland M3?

Once again, not arguing Model S is not a better car, but in most countries it is 2x cost after rebates on the 3/Y. Especially with the Highland now having ventilated seats/better steering wheel/etc., Model S loses even further on value preposition. I think part of the problem unlike other...

Is the Model S worth it over the Highland M3?

Don't know what your highway speeds are in the US but here in Canada where I am it's mostly 90 km/h and then you go 10 over so 100 km/h and I find the Model Y plenty quiet. I would say quieter than my 2016 Model S and perhaps just a tad noiser than a 2023 Model S.

Is the Model S worth it over the Highland M3?

What do you get in the most expensive Model Y? - Longer range; absolutely don't need (I have 8 years of experience with 70d degraded down to 330 km @ 100% charge). My RWD Y now has 394 km @ 100% so for me even that is a large upgrade. - Better acceleration; absolutely don't need. I can't even...

Is the Model S worth it over the Highland M3?

Having both I find passengers prefer the Model Y rear seats, a lot easier to get in and out of, more foot space, etc. Here is the thing with road noise. Is the Model S better in that regard? Yes it is, but the problem is the Model 3/Y are already pretty damn good so you are paying a huge amount...

Is the Model S worth it over the Highland M3?

I drove the new 2023 Model S for an hour and I was simply disappointed on two fronts i. Delta difference between my 2016 Model S (I've owned since new) and the 2023 Model S was small, imo. For example, the steering wheel felt cheap compared to my 2016. The big advantage of the 2023 is huge...

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

I got the same answer from day one to delivery day. In case you didn't see my update Tesla admitted wrong and gave me $1,000 credit towards service and $200 credit towards accessories.

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

I have never opened the browser. Never played a game. Never purchased AP1 (I think it was $3k back in 2016, I spent it on the "next gen" seats). As far as sentry mode the $45k Model Y has that too. In terms of put together this is what my Model S looked like at 250,000 km -> It's not like...

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

I guess I'll leave it at this, for me to jump ship from the 45k Model Y this is what it would take in terms of value proposition. Model S - $79,900 Etron GT - $89,900 Taycan RWD (not sold in Canada) - $99,900

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

I read your other thread and yea completely different experience. I've also driven the Taycan lots when my Cayman 4.0 was in the shop and same thing wasn't blown away with different between my 25k used Model S and 150k Taycan. I went to look at the Etron GT as they are doing 30k+ off MSRP right...

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

My 2016 Model S is worth maybe $25,000? The 2023 is 100k+tax. I would expect for that kind of jump to be impressed and I wasn't. Leather is better in my 2016, steering wheel doesn't feel cheap in the 2016, opening roof which I use 6 months of the year in Victoria. All the points you listed such...

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

It makes no sense to pay the $4k. First of all, it comes with 6 months free supercharging to start. Second of all, I can sell my Model S probably for $500 to $1,500 more with free supercharging, in theory. I simply don't use supercharging enough to pay back $5k+. Taking 5k and putting it into a...

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

Updated, Tesla ended up giving me $1,000 towards servicing the Model Y in the future and a $200 credit for accessories. It is what it is. I figure I can sell the Model S for maybe a tad more and also the Y came with 6 months free supercharging under a different promotion.

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

Problem is it is what pushed me over the edge to get a new Model Y. If it wasn't for the inventory adjustment+ life time supercharging transfer I would have just kept the Model S for the time being, that I've owned for the last 8 years. It is not the end of the world as the Model Y comes with 6...

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

Big picture, it isn't the end of the world, I don't feel like a "victim" of something bad when you look at what is going on around the world....just super disappointed in the way this went down after I thought I tried my best to prevent the situation. How do you even complain to a supervisor at...

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

I realize that but I was literally refusing to book delivery (text attached) until they yet again confirmed it would be transferred, which they did. I felt I went above and beyond, black and white, and was completely conned. My approach was I don't fully trust the salespeople to be competent let...

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

If the conditions are so clear you would think the Tesla employees would know them? Or at least look into it when someone is asking multiple times to confirm. I refused to book a delivery time until they confirmed yet one more time that it was going to be transferred, which they did. They even...

Tesla refusing to transfer lifetime supercharging after taking delivery.....disappointing.

Model Y RWD now available. RWD+AWD now eligible for iZEV Rebate

I own a 7+ year old Model S 70d I purchased brand new in Victoria, B.C. I also have a 2 month old RWD Model Y (Chinese built) in Croatia where I spend a lot of time. Zero options. Time to replace the P85D but not excited about any of the options

Exact same boat with a 2016 70D. I too love the opening roof. Is there any EV out there that has such a huge opening roof? Not sure if it is an option on the Taycan.

Rough probability of battery failure prior to warranty expiring?

I don't mind waiting for a base Model 3 which wouldn't be that much more $ than my used Model S; however, preference would be for the battery to die before warranty is up. Love the looks of the model s, pano roof, free supercharging, etc. Don't love it enough over new model 3 to drop 20k on a...

Rough probability of battery failure prior to warranty expiring?

Yes sorry the big high voltage is what I meant. My ideal are scenarios are it fails before warranty is up or I sell the car now. Not too keen on a high mileage 8 year old battery out of warranty.

Rough probability of battery failure prior to warranty expiring?

I have a 2016 Tesla Model S I purchased new in Feb 2016 so I have 18 months or so left on the warranty. Current at 214,000 km and will probably get it to 260,000ish by end of warranty. Rough odds battery fails before warranty expires? Trying to decide whether to keep or sell now while used...

    Buyout issue with Tesla

The first email I sent to Tesla to buy out the car was July 3rd, 2020. I got my Model X PPF & Coated!

Just curious as to how these coats/wraps etc are a good investment. I have a 2016 Model S I purchased new. Now it has 160,000 km and the paint still looks great and I haven't done anything to it. In a couple of years I'll be at 250,000 km and the car will be worth maybe $25,000 and the paint...

Approaching end of four year lease - options?

Do you happen to know if you extend the lease by a few months if the lease buyout drops as well? Agonizing decision here too. For me I also love the pano roof which I have open on a daily basis 8+ months of the year and nither the model 3 or new model s offer that. Warranty-wise I've already...

Canadian Model S out-of-warranty costs, e.g. MCU replacement?

Early 2016 S 70D with 140,000 km and will be around 150,000 km come lease end of February 2020 with a buyout of $45,500. - Is it possible to somehow execute another re-lease? ohh man....have to love the internet :) About 5 years ago I subconsciously leaned against the bed of a beat up Front Ranger and the owner had an absolute meltdown and wanted to start a fight so since then I've been super conscious of not touching other peoples cars.
