Yes - heck, even my car suffered from the infamous factory-reset bug while I was testing the T2C initially. (recent software update caused it to reset everything) So for this thing, I've factory reset my car, my phone - all for the novelty of CarPlay, I guess.

Hmm I didn't notice that detail - the one I linked to is just plastic and is made for the Apple MagSafe charger to snap into place. (I don't have any need for a non-charging mount) -- either way it's a 17mm ball mount, so you could ostensibly attach all sort of things to it.
