Hi Hank, My CPO is finally on the way, with much thanks to your site. As I have mentioned elsewhere, the one missing necessary feature is ability to filter location along with everything else. Now that Tesla no longer ships, my search was specific to just a few of the locations, and alerts...

Only the original owner can buy a Tesla ESA. So if you are buying from the original owner and they are willing to buy the warranty then pass the cost along, that's the only way. No other third party currently writes tesla warranties.

So Tesla no longer ships cars, so you need to limit your search to cars near you At the same time, Tesla doesn't even bother listing a location on half their cars. Can someone explain exactly how this is supposed to work?

Model S Sales really started picking up around 2015 so it stands to reason that the lease returns will keep rolling in.

How many miles does it display when fully charged (or to 90% whichever)?

Is the extended warranty a Tesla ESA?

The extra battery capacity of the 85D commands about a $5000 premium. If you're not doing road trips, might as well save your money. Note that many used cars sold by Teslas have significant dings, scratches, and even body damage, and it's next to impossible to get pictures of each car.

So basically you're confirming that Tesla's contact link on the used car pages is useless, and the thing you need to do to get a response is somehow get a CS' personal cell phone number. LOL

Brand new inventory P100D's are carrying $15k discounts till the end of the quarter. Would be kinda silly to not just jump on one of those.

Glad to hear it worked out. While I know there are indeed good condition cars in the program, I balk at having to put $2500 on the line just to get pictures of a car.

You're still gambling here though. While most stories I hear result in people who find trashed used cars getting their $$ back, technically Tesla doesn't HAVE to give it back; the language when you click "buy" says they will roll it over into another car, but does not require them to return it.

LOL that you wanted money for the "right" to buy this beat up car. It was on the market since August, anyone who wanted a shot at it could have had it.

I have never once gotten a response by clicking the Request link.

Thank God Tesla posts these pictures on the car's listing page so buyers can make an informed decision!

Agree with everything you said, but they've known forever that the customer gets literally no information and yet they still sell tons of CPOs every month. Nothing will change until they run out of fanboys willing to buy sight unseen, and there seems to be no shortage of those.

I have never heard of someone negotiating a CPO price.

Let us know if they actually give you the deposit back, or say you can only roll it over to another car.

There are plenty of people out there who will plunk down the money site unseen. So why should they bother taking the time to respond to requests for pictures?

Did you actually get pictures of the CPO to know it's not in terrible shape? Cheap CPOs are generally far from "like new".

Are you searching for both "no pickup location" and "No Location"? I see a bunch more than 46 between those two strings.

Hi Hank, Your tool is missing location on a ton of cars that do indeed have a location if you click through to them. For instance: Tesla says "No Location" on the site, but has "Los Angeles" listed on its page. FYI. Thx
