As of yesterday the fencing around the new stalls is gone. Units still not online. Hopefully soon, as they are really needed at this location.

Install of MPP Lift Kit (Washington DC)

Thank you! I'm now all set with Bluewater to do the work. Just had a good discussion with them on their experience doing the lift and alignment.

Install of MPP Lift Kit (Washington DC)

Did you get an alignment afterward? I've got an installer in Aurora scheduled to do my lift + plate + camber arms. They were recommended by MPP, but they don't do alignments. I am having trouble finding a Denver area shop that is comfortable doing the alignment. They all say they can dial in the...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Well, I have my doubts I'll get a chance to put some of my funds in around the $200's, but I'd take sub $400's. But I will try to be patient, holding for dips and making multiple buys to get the rest into the stock. Good call on keeping the run-up to yourself. Doing otherwise might have long...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I hope so. I own some shares already and recently decided to put a much larger amount into TSLA, but haven't starting buying more yet. I have been waiting on the usual lower Q1 auto sales numbers to drop the price somewhat.

Looking for a great third-party alignment shop

I use SCR Performance in Loveland, so that's too far for you. However, I've heard good things about 3zero3 in Wheat Ridge from Audi owners and I know they do work on Teslas. Wheel Alignment in Denver, CO | Hunter Hawk Eye Alignment

Volvo XC40 Recharge Makes Its World Debut In L.A.

I'm looking for a small electric SUV with adjustable ride height and do like the XC40. Keeping an eye on this since Tesla does't appear interested in putting air suspensions in the 3 or Y.

Winter driving advice, winter tire choices, etc.

If you lived in the mountains or travelled to trailheads/areas not kept as clear as the routes to the resorts, I'd suggest Nokians/Blizzaks. But, given your use case, you should be fine with your current winter tires. Definitely skip the chains. If this winter convinces you to go with a winter...

Denver (Evans) SC Experiences - Waiting/Loaners?

They do have an area you can wait in. I'm not sure about loaners. Last time I was there I just walked to the nearby Starbucks, got a coffee and used their WiFi to get some work done. The SC texted me when the car was ready.

    Unplugged sway bars

Quick initial review 24 hr with Unplugged sway bars in place. Both in the middle setting. Car is stock P3D, save for forged 19s w/Bridgestone S700A's. I've done about 150 miles on them with 50 miles of canyon carving on roads that are a part of my daily commute/regular routes. They're very...

Are the Michelin pilot sport 4S the best summer tire for the model 3?

Fwiw, I've been trying the Bridgestone S700A and so far, it's grippier than the PS4S while having better road manners and wet handling than the RE71's. It's also wearing better than the RE71's I've run on other cars, but may not last as long as the PS4S (240 vs 300 treadwear rating).

Does anyone have the Evannex cup holder insert?

I like it better than the 3d printed inserts I had been using. Easy cleaning is a nice extra. Glad I bought it.

After 6 months or more of ownership (Model M3) - Poll

I voted hype worn off. Still love the car, but having an aero cover under the car come off on the highway and a small line where paint wore right down to metal on the edge towards the bottom of one of my doors from occasional dirt road driving are things I would not expect 6-8 months into...

    Unplugged sway bars

I ordered July 17th. I won't be able to get them installed until mid-August due to travel. Near as I can tell most people with them already have aftermarket springs or c/o's. My suspension is stock (P3D), so I'll post my impressions once they're on the car.

Spotify finally coming to US Tesla vehicles?

I know and don't expect Tesla to add AA/AC. It's disappointing and I believe will be a growing disadvantage over time. Besides the paint quality, the infotainment capabilities are the most disappointing part of the car for me.
  22. roguenode

Spotify finally coming to US Tesla vehicles?

This is, in part, why AA and AC support would be a great addition. Both already support Spotify, Slacker, Pandora, etc.

What’s the one thing you like the least about your Model 3?

    * No air suspension * No winter mode option, ie mode that doesn't let the back end slide out a touch before tc takes over.

    Talk me into it.

Funny you mention this. My neighbor put his house up for sale this past weekend and asked me on Sunday why my Tesla wasn't in my driveway like it usually is. There's been a Hyundai rental there for the last week as I get my spoiler installed, wheels powder-coated, etc. I didn't think to ask why...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

I was charged to replace mine, but after learning about the TSB, I contacted my service center noting the TSB and asking for a refund. They called me and said I would be refunded for the full amount. A few weeks later I got the check in the mail.

Emergency lane change thing is great / terrible

I really wish you could disable it and have it stick across driving sessions. 15 miles of my commute are on a road undergoing reconstruction where the lane markers do not match with the temporary (project extends through 2020) construction lanes. P3D+ Acceleration

I didn't mount it. I just lay it flat in the front cup holders and go.
  30. roguenode

    P3D+ Acceleration

Well, I did go down about 2,000 feet to get to that elevation as there's not a flat stretch of road I can do a 0-60 on where I live. Let's consider any advantage neutralized since the car was at 84% SOC. ;)
  31. roguenode

    P3D+ Acceleration

Managed a new 0-60 best today in somewhat warmer temps. SOC 84%. I'm getting an initial bit of slip with my snow tires on, so wishful thinking tells me I'll be sub-3 with summer rubber and a performance sticker or two :D.

    P3D+ Acceleration

I watched Daerik's and there's no mention of whether his Vbox is set with the 1' rollout on (likely so), nor does he note the grade.

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

Mine was recently replaced. One half tore off while driving on the highway. While a small scrape indicated something hit it on the side that tore. The whole cover was waterlogged and sagging. Only water I had encountered was normal water on road from recent snow melting. Cost just over $300 to...

    I finally decided...Red P3D

Nice choice! Whatever the color, the P3D is a blast.
  41. roguenode

Anyone delaying purchase for smart air suspension?

I already bought my P3D, so clearly I'm not waiting. However, I would have ordered a performance Y if there was an air suspension option. Maybe at some point there will be and I'll bite. Air suspension is pretty useful here in the mountains when you need extra clearance for bad roads and snow.

    P3D+ Acceleration

I got the update notice this morning. Did a 0-60 before applying the update on a flat stretch (Dragy verified) and got my best 0-60 yet at 3.51s for that location. Applied update and after a few more runs I did get a couple of 3.47's. The car did seem to pull a bit harder towards the end. Given...

    5% increase in power

Agreed. I just did four more 0-60 runs in that same spot as earlier today. Got a couple of 3.47s @%77 SOC (Dragy verified). I've never been under 3.52 @ that same spot pre-update, so maybe a touch quicker, but clearly not by much.
  44. roguenode

    5% increase in power

Those runs were done at about 50°F.
  45. roguenode

    5% increase in power

I've got about a mile on the car since the update as I just did it here at work. It does seem a bit more responsive when I mash the pedal when going a steady 30 or so. I'll be doing some more runs and bringing it up to highway speeds at lunch.
  46. roguenode

    5% increase in power

Pre-Update v Post-Update I only had a chance to do a quick set of runs from a spot near my office parking lot before/after the update, but here's the results. Edit: 86% SOC

    Tesla Model 3 Tint Feedback?

I did 20% for all four windows and back glass, left roof without and factory tint is fine there imo. I also did something like 65% or 70% on the windshield. All of my previous cars have had 30-35% tint but my detailer, who tints many Teslas, recommended a bit darker since I have the white and...

Money to buy a Performance model X vs one Performance Model 3 and Model Y

I'd go with the performance 3 but look for a used X instead. A bit more $$$, but a great combo imo.
