    Supercharger - Fairfield, CT

Disappointed with this station. Last night the furthest 4 stalls did not work. I finally gave up and went to the third closest to the highway and only got 76 kW (was at 35% SOC). I'm mostly disappointed with how many stalls were out rather than the low rate.

I've also seen plenty of trucks stuck under the greenich bridge at the NY border. One time even saw they had to cut one length wise bc it looked like an accordian same in my 3, it doesnt seem to "see" the curves until it has to make jarring speed adjustments so I flip it off before any major...

I used to commute North from NY to CT on the merrit daily for 4 years. I can't tell you how many times I've seen emergency vehicles and crashes on the those two turns. You'd think they would redesign them after enough crashes...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

Mobile service just replaced mine under warranty. The tech explained that Tesla only covers it via the service bulletin in the event it was caused by damage from a puddle/rain. Direct quote from the tech “You should be able to drive your car in the rain without any trouble” He said they will...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

does anyone have a copy of this service bulletin? Edit: I found it https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10153430-9999.pdf Some very interesting text in here including (bold emphasis mine): "On some Model 3 vehicles, the front and/or mid aero shield panels might be susceptible to damage...

Ripped Undercarriage Composite from the rain?

I was quoted $165 for the part, $35 for labor, 12.7 for tax, 212.7 total. I'm trying to fight for a warranty repair as well. I know two other ppl in CT that got this done under warranty. Interesting to note my part # quoted is a -B and not the -A you mention above.

    Tesla launching Solar Roof V3

this is the correct comparison. Elon keeps saying electricity + regular roof > solar roof - electricity what everyone should be comparing is regular roof - solar panel electricity

    Tesla launching Solar Roof V3

“We are about to complete version 3 of the solar roof. This is actually quite a hard technology problem to have an integrated solar cell with a roof tile, have it look good, and last for 30 years.” - Elon I thought the tiles lasted forever? Am I not remembering him saying that right?

For the remainder of September, Tesla is permanently waiving the $1500 solar removal fee

For me I have to pay a minimum charge if $10/mo to rent my electric meter. So for me a large system + tax + min fee is ~170/mo It’s still profitable enough to make me close to $1200 a year
  26. SureValla

it is not, the contract states it is variable and they must give you at least 30 days notice of a price change

For the remainder of September, Tesla is permanently waiving the $1500 solar removal fee

I don't believe they do but why I'm curious why you would ask for this? They did have me upload my latest electric bill which has a history of the last 12 months of usage. As far as I know they just use this to determine if you've bought the right system. I think in my area the utility can deny...

I just spoke with my energy advisor. He confirmed the $1500 removal fee is indeed gone! He referenced a meeting with Elon at 11 AM this morning. The contract language is being updated now and my advisor is going to notify me when its complete.

    Tesla now RENTS solar panels

I'm struggling then to see a scenario where you'd have to pay the $1500 at all then. Perhaps only if you want to remove the system to buy another? or you dont like the look of it and want to pull a Richard Nixon removing the panels from the whitehouse?

    Tesla now RENTS solar panels

I just called tesla energy to ask what was up. The woman who answered my call was completely unaware of the new language and as far as she knew the $1500 was still in effect. Tesla now RENTS solar panels

For me its the following: 1 Month = 1108kWh generated (average). System cost is $150 (plus tax? Sales Tax in Connecticut is 6.35%) = $159.53 UI's (through third party) current generation rate is $0.0899 + delivery fees total $0.151 = $0.241 / kWh currently. 1108kWh * $0.241 = $267 generated...

    Tesla now RENTS solar panels

My biggest concern is risking that the price will go up. The people I've spoken to assure me it wont go up that much if at all in the first year but without that in writing I'm not convinced. Putting panels on my roof leaves me prone to the price skyrocketing to 1000/mo if Tesla wanted to and...
