Manual firmware update (for new charge port)

Yep, I've got the laptop's ethernet IP address set to 192.168.90.103 (using DHCP w manual address). My mac shows the ethernet is active and connected. I'm trying the white ethernet FSD directly on the AP board (I had also tried the one directly beneath the 17" center screen). The "telnet...

    Tesla Toolbox Tutorial/Walk-thru/Introduction?

Is there a tutorial or PDF on Tesla's Toolbox? I was looking for any information on how to use it, but haven't found anything at all on it. Would like to have a general understanding of it before I pay for a subscription...

Manual firmware update (for new charge port)

I have attempted to via this: telnet 192.168.90.100 25956 but I keep getting the Operation timed out/Unable to connect to remote host messages. What am I missing here? I'm on v9.0 2018.50.6

    AP2.0 —> AP2.5 upgrade?

Great. Thanks for this. Can you point me to the resources where you found all of this?

    AP2.0 —> AP2.5 upgrade?

Thanks! Is this a best guess or do you know this to be true?

    AP2.0 —> AP2.5 upgrade?

I should note: I’m not looking for Tesla’s official response. I’m interested in unorthodox/creative solutions :) I know it’s possible, I just need some guidance from someone who knows or has done it.

    AP2.0 —> AP2.5 upgrade?

What is required to make Sentry/Dashcam/Dog-Mode work on AP2.0? Would simply swapping the AP2.5 board make this work (or are the MCU2 and IC required)? Has anyone successfully gone from AP2.0 to AP2.5?

Evolution of the Model X 5-seater trunk

Does anyone have the dimensions for the two compartments under the trunk?

Using TM-Spy to see Model S data.

I believe you can store it under there. Without wiring a switch, the BT OBD adapter will draw power though. Here is the one recommended by the TM Spy guy: LELink Bluetooth Low Energy BLE OBD-II OBD2 Car Diagnostic Tool For iPhone/iPod/iPad https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QJRYMFC?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Plan: Off grid solar with a Model S battery pack at the heart

@nwdiver this post was helpful. has the landscape changed at all since your post for inverters you’d consider?

Plan: Off grid solar with a Model S battery pack at the heart

@wk057 (or anyone else) What are the limitations/reasons preventing a DC-DC home Supercharger/chademo system as a practical solution to charging a Tesla? This project is remarkable on so many levels, but I didn't see anything addressing this specifically (thought I admit I did not read all 76...

    0 to 60 uncork

    I have a an X 100D and it doesn’t have a P1 state (or any P state tbh).

    0 to 60 uncork

@P100DHG What performance confit/settings (via API/TeslaFi) did your 100D have before you were able to get this done? And how did you initially contact Tesla to start this process?

Using TM-Spy to see Model S data.

Can someone recommend a Bluetooth dongle that works reliably (doesn't drop any of the high frequency frames)? How about a recorder? Sorry if this has been answered previously, this thread is looooong.

    Any news on 100D uncorking?

    Is that S or X 100D w DU00? P1 = corked?

@David99 Where would you go to inform yourself how to log CAN data from an S or X?

    Q: 70 or 75kWh pack in a 2017 Model X 70D? (~3/2017 mfg date)

That solves that. @outie is right: it is a 75D. I found this out when I called Tesla last eve. Now they say they will upgrade the firmware and give the car faster acceleration next service (uncork?).

Is my Model S the slowest Tesla made in the past two years?

@Krash thanks. I understand the amperage difference (to squeeze in more depth for the 100D I presume), but what about back EMF? Wouldn’t you want that in all batteries? How is that solved in pack?

    Q: 70 or 75kWh pack in a 2017 Model X 70D? (~3/2017 mfg date)

    Q: 70 or 75kWh pack in a 2017 Model X 70D? (~3/2017 mfg date)

New here, was looking at a 70D 2017 Model X (w a 3/2017 mfg date) and had a few questions I'm not able to answer on my own (yet). I have access to the VIN. Is there a way to tell if it can be software unlocked to 75kWh/whether it has the 70kWh or 75 kWh pack without seeing the car? What about...

Is my Model S the slowest Tesla made in the past two years?

What are the actual voltages of the 75? 85? 100? Are the individual battery modules then all running different voltages as well? (Is this information somewhere already on the forum?)
