    Supercharger - Bothell, WA

Lots more work going on today.

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA

Good details! That seems to rule an upgrade out. Today on site was Veca Electric and Technologies with multiple trucks…but I didn’t see a single guy around who I could ask questions. Hopefully they repair what was broken and the site comes back online soon.

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA

Yes, reasonable guess. Not sure my photos caught the wires snaking into the garage, but there were many.

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA

I was back in the area today when it was still light outside so pics from the car. Really wasn’t much to see in my opinion…and it was darn cold outside. I don’t recall the interior set of multiple cabinets (my first pic) being there previously FWIW. but could just be my bad memory. Only the...

    Supercharger - Bothell, WA

The Bothell Village Creek SC has been temporarily closed for several days now so I swung by on the hopes it might be in process of upgrade to V4 (to match the new Bothell V4 SC going in on Bothell Everett Highway). I have no idea if V4s would fit in such a snug configuration of that garage but I...

    Rear ended in Sherwood…Damage Guestimate

Hey, my guess of $12K was spot on…uh, for the original estimate at least. :)

Are control arms a problem on Y's like they are in X's?

It does not. No air suspension obviously, but the X half shaft issues are unique to that vehicle design and the platform being shared with the S. Bottom line, you won’t have the acceleration shudder. The Y is less heavy than the X too, which helps with handling of course, but I suspect will...

    11.4.4 HW4 > 11.4.4 HW3

I just wish I could get my HW4 Y enabled on FSD Beta! I’ve been stuck on 26.9 for 10 days now and it sucks not to have FSD.
  9. Seattle Tom

Do any HW4 Vehicles have FSD Beta activated ?

I’m on 26.9 too. Been on it for 10 days now, which is a non-beta build for HW4 cars. It’s INCORRECT that you’ll get .10 or .11 “within a few days“ as you could wait multiple weeks. I’ve read some posters that say you need over 1,000 miles to get the FSD Beta build but I’m not sure if that’s...

Ba dum tss…goodnight, folks, I’m here all week! Don’t forget to tip your waitresses.

Do any HW4 Vehicles have FSD Beta activated ?

Six year old Model X owner here (who just upgraded to a Y with HW4). I’m disappointed too, but not very much. I’ve lived through this before with HW2 and HW2.5. Trust me - HW3’s days as the lead off hitter are numbered. Maybe 6 months…mid-2024 at most. HW4 is already permeating the fleet with...

Xbox.com/Play - Cloud Gaming on a Tesla Browser Works

Same here. New Model Y (likely the one with only 8GB of memory). Xbox cloud gaming goes to black screen and returns to the game list.

Xbox.com/Play - Cloud Gaming on a Tesla Browser Works

i haven’t used it in the past few weeks, but what’s not working for you? It doesn’t load, too laggy, something else?
  15. Seattle Tom

    Half shaft Problem

Of course I say all this and I’m very likely to swap the X I love for a Model Y. The FSD transfer for HW4 on a new Model Y is likely too good a deal to pass up. LOL
  16. Seattle Tom

    Half shaft Problem

Yup, EbS summed it up perfectly. It lets the X run in the way Tesla tells you to run it (in Low suspension) to avoid the shudder but WITHOUT the negative issues such as inner tire wear.

Xbox.com/Play - Cloud Gaming on a Tesla Browser Works

Fullscreentesla.com is the best. Has EVERYTHING and plays it all on, somewhat obviously, full screen. :)

    Half shaft Problem

I can’t speak to the refreshed Model X but for my 2017 the N2itive purchase was the BEST decision I made. I’ve had the half shafts replaced, had the service bulletin done…nothing made a difference like the alignment kit. The X drives like new and has for several months now.
  19. Seattle Tom

    Rear ended in Sherwood…Damage Guestimate

I think the battery is okay, but that would obviously be key. Assuming it’s fine, you’ve got hatch, sensors, bumpers…I’m going to say that’s $12K in parts and labor. My Tesla was rear ended a few years ago and it was $6K for similar, though not as extensive, damage. I’m surprised on the April...

Anyone interested in driving a Plaid from Seattle to Las Vegas this week?

Epic road trip! Glad you are doing it before Elon lets the crappy Bolts and other s*** EVs onto the Supercharger network. Enjoy!

Place to get alignment in the Seattle area

The full kit from N2itivie is $1600 to $2000 (depending on which you buy). I don’t know how much just an alignment is at Truline, but the alignment with the labor to install the kit was around $1700 - obviously that’s in addition to the parts. Honestly, had I known about this when I bought the...

Place to get alignment in the Seattle area

Ha - me too! Just had the new N2itive kit installed on my X. Definitely a HUGE difference. Brandon at Truline is great and I highly recommend them!

After 5-weeks, I turned FSD Beta off!

Hmmm, the traffic light and nuisance alerts…do you have the NoA box highlighted in blue (i.e, activated) while operating FSD Beta? If so, try tapping that to turn it off (while still leaving FSD active of course). I think that will clear those pop up alerts. It sounds counter-intuitive since...

Supercharger - Leavenworth, WA (LIVE Jul 2018, 16 V2 stalls)

Safeway lot was my guess too. There are EA chargers there now I think? But maybe something behind one of the hotels on less beaten path? Even one block off the main drag is still close to everything in Leavenworth.

Supercharger - Cle Elum, WA (LIVE Dec 2018, 12 V2 stalls)

That does absolutely suck. I always tried to support this SC and the coffee shop. Look forward to the Safeway option.

Wiper Blade Sizes and Wiper fluid question

Yes, they adjusted the span of the wipers and for whatever reason that seemed to fix it. So in other words, the wipers used to go all the way to the edge of the windshield like this: I Now, they end in a diagonal position before swiping back down like this: / Obviously my poor slashes don’t...

Caution Model X, Hidden Tire Wear

Drive in Standard, not Low, and overinflated the tires a bit to semi-mitigate the issue. But the real fix is to buy the parts from n2itive and that will avoid the tire wear issues *and* the acceleration shudder.

Supercharger - Cle Elum, WA (LIVE Dec 2018, 12 V2 stalls)

Agreed 100%. Ellensburg was a mess (better now with the 2nd SC), but this SC was always a winner in my mind with good food and plenty of space to stretch.

Is driving dynamic of refreshed model X signficantly superior to model Y?

Interesting perspective on the shudder. I assume my refresh X (due next March to May per the app right now) would have the same shudder as my 2017 X because Tesla hasn’t addressed the fundamental design flaw with the angle of the half shafts. I finally pulled the trigger on the N2itive...

2017 Model X hit hard while parked - totalled?

Brother, as a fellow 2017 Model X 100 D Six Seater FSD owner, my heart breaks for you. Looks totaled. At 5 years old, it’s not a high bar to total an X due to the repair costs. You have to post the Sentry Mode video of the a**hole who hit your X. Hopefully it caught the license so you can go...

    2022 Model X - Interior Noise / Rattling / Crackling

That sound is definitely not normal for an EV, Tesla Model X or otherwise. I don’t know what it is but something isn’t sitting right, sealed right, etc. Good luck!

Model X, 6 Seater Cargo Space

My 7 seat Model X is now showing delivery between November 13 and January 22. First time I’ve had a specific date (not just a month)! Maybe they finally start coming in droves in Q4.

Can you park the X in a garage?

We raised the garage door track up since the ceiling in the garage was much higher than basic installation. With that, I set the Falcon Wing Doors to “Always Open” at home and it’s wonderful. :)

    Eye Tracking

I think you should take a test drive to check this out. I think it’s a 50-50 bet honestly. Here’s an article that came out when the cabin camera was first activated. I assume Tesla is even better at tracking now, but look at some of the categories from the pic below like “Driver Eyes Up” and...

MX pre-refresh vs. Refresh...any initial reports?

@FirstInTown you can display the energy graph on the 2022 Model X by I believe using the voice control command “Open Energy Graph.”
  41. Seattle Tom

    Squeak/creek from the left front?

Yeah, this is a known control arm issue. In some cases, they’ll have to replace the control arm but the SC should be well aware of the issue and they’ll likely order the parts before your visit.

New FSD beta testers (June 2022) - First experiences

Yes, I haven’t had any highway phantom braking. Although I did have phantom braking on a city street last night! So overall I’d say issue is better but not resolved. I’m supremely impressed with FSD Beta. It is far from perfect, but the beta was positioned that way so I’m not surprised. I’m...

Refreshed 2021/2022 Model X Owners Thread

So I may have missed this but because you installed the N2itive lowering links, does that mean the refreshed X has the *same* issue with shudder due to the half shafts and drive axle? I’ve been trying to get that confirmed - someone must have put the X on a lift and checked this - but you are...

Model X (only) - FSD beta

I also got FSD Beta yesterday - and from my signature you can see I’ve been waiting a long time! :) Love it and can see the potential. When it works, it works well. But as a beta it can also not work VERY well. Got my X because I love gadgets and this fits the bill. Incredibly awesome to be...

New FSD beta testers (June 2022) - First experiences

I’m amazed so far. But obviously, as many others have said, the car made the worst decision at the worst time a couple of times today. Totally expected, disengaged, and happy to help train the NN. Question: not a disengagement, but I notice my X accelerates out of left and right turns...
