Now for a broad question: What (if any) communications are going to and from FSD activated cars and the Tesla mothership and when. How exactly is my car getting more sure of itself every day (if indeed it is). Curious
Thanks. Tried that this morning and it works! Now to figure out what this does. Specifically, what’s the blue icon that shows up below the destination if a route is entered. Not sure if this is FSD only. It doesn’t appear to be doing anything.
This afternoon while in FSD I was kicked out a bunch of times. Each time I got a "Cruise control unavailable" message. A review of the alerts (click on car icon and then the bell icon) after getting home showed the following messages prior to the Cruise control messages: Autosteer temporarily...
I'll be heading down for a weeks stay on the 19th of September. Any more recent in-person news on the status of those chargers.
On a secondary note, I'll be coming down from the Maryland suburbs of DC and I'm inclined to go thru the Maryland Eastern shore and over the bridge/tunnel rather...
Looks like the Ocean City V3 supercharger is about ready to open. I think that there will also be a SC in Easton Md. Anyone who lives in the Easton area have any details?
Looks like there's progress on the Ocean City V3 Supercharger. Any updates for the Easton SC. Having that available would be great when going to Oxford on the way home from OC. Thanks for any updates.
A friend of mine who bears with me when I keep on talking about my reservation (not so much anymore) says he believes that he saw a model 3. Smaller than an S, matte black finish, Tesla T on front, no grill. Anyone else see it on this coast?
I would think that deliveries will be by region by configuration. But the monkey wrench in that mix is the bump up that current model S\X owners get when placing model 3 orders. Does anyone know whether that is still in effect even now? Can a current model S owner place a 3 order today and get...
I'm in DC so given that people in NJ and PA appear to be getting theres I should probably get one shortly. I was around 20th in line in Bethesda, Md, waited about 2-3 hours. I wonder if we might be able to correlate the receipt of these gifts with our real places on line. Might be useful...
I'm looking forward to getting the larger (maybe largest) battery pack, AWD, and Auto pilot. But I can be enticed to go for more if I can get the full tax credit (signed up first thing the morning of March 31st at the Bethesda, Md Store). Also depends if I'm fully retired by then.
Here's a link to an article in MIT Technology review which was fun to read when I got to work this Monday Morning: Tesla’s Biggest Edge in Chasing Autonomy Is Treating Drivers Like Guinea Pigs
As to being insane: it's a good insane.

I was at the store in Bethesda, Md at 6:30am and was probably 15-25th one
in line. Ten minutes after store opened I was finished and on my way to work. Think I was early enough to get the tax credit. My guess is that it's the current tesla owners who ordered in the first day or so who will...
I also waited on line for 3 hours on the east coast and was probably 20-25th in line. I like your spreadsheet but what's with the E column. Did you mean to put M3 (Tesla Model 3) where I think you put it? Perhaps you could use a .5*option to guestimate the cost of a M3 option based on the MS...
Bethesda, Md: 15-25th in line. First person in line at 4:00am. I got in line at 6:30. Three or four hundred in line by time I placed my order at 10:10 am.
