Yeah, I've been wondering about this too. At 90% charge my MX 100D indicates that I have ~325 miles of range, which is obviously not accurate. This after basically 100% flat driving (no substantial downhill). Super weird.
We are selling our Model S because our family has grown and we just took delivery of a new Model X, the car is in perfect condition. I'll post pictures later this evening.
Here are the specs based on the options available at the time:
2016 Model S - March delivery
<15k miles
Deep Blue Metallic...
Not the best picture because it's parked outside right now, but you can sort of make out the top row LEDs. I do also have the adaptive light setting in the menu.
I wonder if ours were in the same batch since my VIN was 74*** as well and it sounds like went through QC at about the same time. At least you know that your QC person was at least minimally attentive haha
DS called with an update today: our MX has been built and is now in QC for final checks. Sounds like delivery could be as early as next week (1 week early).
Yeah, that makes sense. Seems like a long-shot that they would actually catch anything that late in the game, but I was just hoping to get an extra set of eyes (DS's) on some of the points that I'll be looking at.
I was thinking about doing this too, but just a shortened list of things that 1) might make me refuse delivery, or 2) could easily be fixed by the SC.
Has anyone had any luck with this?
Add me to the list that got a DS call yesterday. Our blue 100D is getting painted and then just needs QA.
Without promising anything, she said delivery could happen late next week (a week earlier than scheduled).
She also noted that it is the first in a batch, which I suppose could be good...
My DS said she would touch base with me each week from now until delivery - based on other experiences that I've read here, she seems pretty good so far.
We haven't taken delivery yet, but our plan is to put our older child (booster seat) and a parent or grandparent in the 3rd row when transporting everyone. This way our younger child will be in the more easily accessible 2nd row in the infant/toddler seat and our older child can either buckle...
VIN: 74xxx.
Blue 100D
Ordered 10/4, Confirmed 10/7
DS called today saying that they are still sourcing parts but that our MX is on scheduled and slated to go into production on Nov 13th with delivery targeted for Nov 24th.
Part of it could be transit time, right? Net delivery time difference for our orders is about 1.5-2 weeks and I live less than two hours from the factory in Fremont.
Got our VIN today: 74xxx. Blue 100D ordered 10/4, confirmed 10/7. DS is saying delivery is targeted for around 11/24 in Rocklin, CA...now if only our baby's due date wasn't the same day...
I'll be selling the 70D described in my signature in Palo Alto in early December when we take delivery of our new X100D. Ping me if you're still looking then and open to considering non-facelift.
Yeah, this is the step that I'm hoping someone else has taken, everything else is pretty easy in my experience. I really don't want to screw up the front bumper as the guinea pig on this because I'm not particularly mechanical, at least with cars.
Should I infer from the silence that this idea:
has never been looked into
is so easy that it doesn't warrant a response
is so difficult that it doesn't warrant a response?
:)
I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a magnet-based solution for mounting the front license plate? On my (non-facelifted) MS I used the method outlined here: Front License Plate Solutions but I haven't seen anything similar for the MX.
I'm really hoping for something that will allow me to...
1) We are still awaiting delivery, but the 7 seat layout is one reason we wanted to switch from our current Model S.
2) We have 1 kid with another arriving next month and wanted to be able to haul visiting family members and take short trips with other families in a single vehicle. Most of the...
Hello fellow Davisite! Your repainted wheels look great! What was the paint code and who did you use for the job? My X is slated for delivery in late Nov-early Dec and I'd love to get this done.
You're looking at the wrong table on the page. The high-income caps don't mean anything (for now) because only households that make 300% or less than the federal poverty level ($12,540 * household size) will get a CA rebate.
Does anyone know what kind of pen refill goes in the Tesla pens that they give at deIivery? I love the pen that I got in the gift bag that Tesla gave me when I took delivery of my MS, but the ink is running out and I'd like to find a refill.
Summon seems to have fairly consistent problems going into my garage, taking 2-4 tries, but does fine coming out. The only improvement I've noticed is my own ability to line it up just right. :)
Yeah, it's not something that I'm concerned about and there are other things that I'd rather their engineers spend their time on, I just wasn't sure if it was affecting other people too or just me. :)
It's an interesting thought experiment but too hard to predict outcomes 20-30 years down the line. There are some indications that younger generations are less likely to care about cars in the same way that previous generations have and if that trend continues the "collectibility" of cars could...
Does anyone else have the wrong wheels displayed on the Tesla app? I have the Slipstream wheels and it is displaying the old 5-spoke OEM wheels. A quick Google images search shows that they do seem to display the correct wheels in the app for some of the wheel types, maybe they just haven't...
My comprehensive insurance covered a crack in a sunroof caused by a stone on one of my prior cars and treated it as if it was a windshield replacement (no deductible), it's worth looking into with your insurance company.
I used Independence Auto Body in Mountain View for other vehicles and the owner Jim did good work at a fair price and was a pleasure to work with, not sure if he does aluminum work or not.
