Agree, I am in similar boat and wouldn’t upgrade until a major (battery) update.

A new Homelink button should be on the bottom left of the screen under the car visualization. Do not have to use the green one on the top bar.

Agree on the readability at night, missed a turn today because of this. The new UI is a hot piece of garbage.

I have crossclimate 2 with about 100 miles on them. Seeing 10% higher w/mi consumption so far. Hoping that the range improves as the tires wear a bit more.

Pre Aug 2018 model 3s need electrical rework and post Aug 2018 is plug n play. Also, my experience was similar to yours; all my settings were backed up and preserved by the technician. I have a May 2018 build. Anyone getting the upgrade make sure to ask the technician to back up their settings.

I would try to get an OEM windshield as Tesla had made it thicker for better sound dampening. I wouldn’t have that confidence in an aftermarket one.

I had them apply PFF on my model 3, for the price mentioned. Jermey (owner) is a stand up guy; very easy to work with. I would highly recommend him. Be aware that he is usually booked weeks in advance. PM me if you have any specific questions.

What do you mean by “current confluence of events will never allow it”? IMO, It’s going to be very hard for Tesla to renege on their promise as several people have put down 1k for 2+ years in anticipation. They may try to artificially raise the prices using similar tactics.

It does feel sluggish off the line. As others have noted, Tesla seems to have neutered the car couple of months ago.
