I don't think it raises solely based on leaving the location. It lowers from very high to high when you hit 22 MPH, and from high to standard when you hit 34 MPH.

My Tesla just switched to "in production". No automated email yet, but I presume that is imminent. My DS expects delivery between June 15 and June 20. My Tesla still says "June - Early July", which it has for a while. Confirmed: 4/17, VIN 1393xx.

"My Tesla" is now back to the previous "Late May - June". In my mind, this is more ammunition to my thesis that there is too much noise and variability in the data to help predict when a given order will be completed. But, it is fun to speculate, so I imagine we'll all keep doing it.

I'd guess that Tesla would learn from their hubris problems with the Model X, and not try to push the technology on a lower-end car with tight deadlines.

If I had to guess, I'd guess 40% would be closer to the end result. That sounds bad, but really there is a lot of inertia in the whole system, and changes just take a long time. For example, I recently saw a statistic that the median car age in the US is 11.5 years. 2030 is only 14 years...

Interesting that they are different. I just now reloaded the page, and mine is still shows the old options. For example, it shows Premium Interior and Lighting, not Premium Upgrades Package. I doubt if it matters much -- I'm sure the car will be perfect!

I'm in a very similar time range -- my order confirms Saturday. The picture in My Tesla shows the updated front, but the options are the previous set, minus Piano Black. Nonetheless, Telsa told me I'd get Piano Black. Which is fine with me -- I like it better than any of the options, new or old.
